BIOME
Deciduous forests can be found in the eastern half of North
America, and the middle of Europe. There are many
deciduous forests in Asia. Some of the major areas that
they are in are southwest Russia, Japan, and eastern
China. South America has two big areas of deciduous
forests in southern Chile and Middle East coast of
Paraguay. There are deciduous forests located in New
Zealand, and southeastern Australia also.

WEATHER
Deciduous Forest, or Temperate Forest biome. Such forests
occur between approximately 25 ° and 50 ° latitude in
both hemispheres.
FAUNA
ANIMALS : Insects, spiders, slugs, frogs, turtles and
salamanders are common. Birds like broad-winged hawsk,
cardinals, snowy owls, and pileated woodpeckers are also found
in this biome. Mammals include white-tailed deer, raccoons,
opossums, porcupines and red foxes.

Most of the areas of North American deciduous forest are
dominated by oaks and/or beech, with maples and species of
hickory and linden or basswood also widespread. Beech and
basswood are rare in other North American vegetation types,
but oaks, hickories, and maples are more widespread.
