Transport & IP SLA Packet loss describes packets of data not reaching their destination after being transmitted across a network. Packet loss is commonly caused by network congestion, hardware issues, software bugs, and several other factors - PLR ≥ 0.1% consistent for 3 days Latency is the time it takes for packets to traverse the network. – Latency ≥ 15ms Jitter Its described as the difference in latency between packet flow from one client to another. Deviation from true periodicity of a presumably periodic time frame Latency Packet loss

Transport & IP SLA Packet loss will have effects on the speed of transmission of data. Packets will need to be retransmitted (even if only the acknowledgment packet got lost and the packets got delivered) High Latency will have effects by means that the source spends more time idle (not sending any new packets by confirming receipt of destination), which reduces how fast throughput grows. Jitter is the case of variable latency, and we will have to deal with packets arriving at a non-constant rate Jitter
