In Their Own Words - Voices of Our Alumni

T came to NIS in fourth grade and graduated from high school here, During the 9 years 1 spent here, can attest
to the fact that the school maintains a nurtring environment One is allowed to make mistakes, lean fom them,
and grow. This is not only tue for an academie context, but alo fr varying facets. The teachers display utmost
generosty with us which only helps us imbibe qualities of empathy 1 have also formed the best fiendships that
Twill b able to count on fr years to come. The school cumiculum resonates with NIS’ principles and is largely
application based, which aid students in applying concepts learnt in lass o real-world Scenarios.

A unique learning opportunity that stood out o me from the very stat was the provision of the subject called
‘Global Perspectives from primary school until the end of middle school. The introduction of research fom the
beginning unlocks an essential Kill for the futur a nascent stage. 1 remember leaming about credible sources
‘on the internet atthe age of 10, and it has stuck with me ever since. Rich discussions on world affairs helped me
tain exposure and think as a global citizen

My most memorable experiences at NIS involve insightful class discussions, prep for cultural days and various
‘events, and spending time with friends. The entice class and grade come together for community experiences,
which isan absolute delight. There is overwhelming support foreach other and excitement when events like
cultural days and music recitals take place. Clas discussions form an integral part of leaming and force the class
o think above and beyond. Doing so with my classmates has to be on ofthe most memorable experiences.

NIS teaches empathy. resilience,

learners into not only intelligent, but

also self-conscious, caring, and

realistic people.
