8. Exclamatory Sentences Excitedly express emotion. E nd with exclamation points

9. EXAMPLES… The robber is escaping! That car is headed right for us! I can’t believe we won ! Oh my, he looked at me!

10. Imperative Sentences Give orders, commands and instructions. E nd with periods or exclamation points.

11. EXAMPLES… Be home by midnight. Drop the weapon! Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

12. Interrogative Sentences Ask questions. End with question marks.

13. EXAMPLES… Are you going home? Did you study your lessons? Why didn’t I take notes?
