 Not sure where golf started
 Experts believe golf originated on the coast of
Scotland
Around the 12
th
or 15
th
century

The first golfer would just hit a rock into a hole
in the ground.
Later they used clubs and a ball.
When they took golf as a serious sport they
invented the golf course.
They used wooden clubs to hit the ball.

Early golfers would just see how many hits it
would take them to try and get it in the hole.
Many golfers today still use that same method.

 Early golf clubs were carved out of wood.
 A while after the wooden clubs ,that they invented the
medal club.
 With the medal club could hit the ball farther and
would not break as easy.
The first golf ball was made out of thin strips of leather
made into a ball and was stuffed with goose feathers.
The next ball was the wooden ball carved out of trees
Next was the rubber ball, they could hit this one farther
than the other ones.
Modern day golf balls are made out of pressurized
cores and several layers of urethane.
