EXPOSITION The legend tells the story of the most beautiful maiden named Daragang Magayon in Bikolandia or Kabikolan , long before the separation of the Philippines to mainland Asia. During those times, it is prohibited for a maiden to marry a man living outside the Kabikulan . Once in Ibalon there lived a lovely maiden named Daragang Magayon . Her beauty was known far and wide and attracted even Pagtuga , the great but arrogant chieftain who kept on lavishing her father with gifts. But Magayon had already fallen in love with the brave Pangaronon , who saved her life one morning when she almost drowned after attempting to take a bath in the Yawa River.
RISING ACTION One night, she told her father Tiong Makusog about her love affair with the stranger and though it is prohibited and it hurts the father's heart to know that his only daughter is in love with a stranger he still told her that he will find the best way to fulfill the wish of his daughter. Unfortunately, Paratuga kidnapped Tiong Makusog and demanded Daragang Magayon to marry him in exchange of the life of his father. When Daragang Makusog learned about this, she hurriedly went to the house of Paratuga and agreed to marry him
CLIMAX Panganoron found out about the other upcoming wedding and hurried to rescue his bride. A battle ensued, and the lovers were both killed
FALLING ACTION Rajah Makusog dug the grave of the lovers, an shortly after they witness as it eventually turned into a volcano. Sometimes it gets agitated by Pagtuga's and Linog's quest to retrieve gifts, making it erupt. On the days that the tip of the volcano is covered in mist, it is said that Panganoron is kissing Magayon . And when rains come and pours down its sides, they say Panganoron is mourning his lost love
RESOLUTION Panganoron found ou t about the other upcoming wedding and hurried to rescue his bride. A battle ensued, and the lovers were both killed
