THE NAGALAND BUILDING BYE LAW 2012
BUILDING PERMIT No person shall erect, re-erect or make alteration or demolition in building or cause the same to be done without first obtaining a separate building permit for each building from the authority.
PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING BUILDING PERMIT Notice to be given. Plans Accompanying Notice. Form of Application. Documents to be furnished with the Application.
APPLICATION TO EXECUTE WORK Every person who intends to erect, or make material alteration in any place in a building shall give notice in writing to the Authority.
PLANS ACCOMPANYING NOTICE Copy of the title deed of the site. Receipt for having paid the application fee. A site plan in triplicate drawn to appropriate scale.
FORM OF APPLICATION Certificate of Undertaking. Undertaking by Architect. Undertaking by Structural engineer. Undertaking by Construction engineer.
CERTIFICATES
DOCUMENTS TO BE FURNISHED The forms, plans, sections and descriptions to be furnished and signed by the engineers and Architect. Approval of drawings, statement, documents shall not discharge people on record who are engaged on the project. The landowner shall held responsible if any Unauthorised Construction, addition & alteration is done without prior permission of Competent Authority.
