The Introductory Rite Entrance Procession The order of the procession for the entrance is as follows Incese Bearer Cross Bearer Candle Bearer Candidates and Sponsors (optional) Lectors Deacon with the Book of Gospel Concelebrants Master of Ceremonies Bishops with Miter and Crozier

The celebration starts with the priest approaching the altar while the entrance hymn is being sung.

When the priest / bishops/ popes arrives at the altar. They makes a solemn vow and kisses it

After singing the entrance hymn, the priest/bishop/pope and the faithful make a sign of the cross. We says: “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

The priest greets the faithful: Priest: The Lord be with you. People: And with your spirit.

After greeting the faithful and providing a brief introduction about the celebration of the Holy Eucharist of the day, the priest invites the faithful to make the Penitential Act by saying: Priest: Brethren, let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries 2 . Rite of Blessing and Sprinkling Holy Water or Penitential Rite

This is followed by a brief silence. After the brief silence, all are asked to recite the formula of general confession. I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, (and striking their breast, they say) through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever -Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

This is followed by the absolution by the priest. May almighty God Have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.

The Holy Eucharist It is a sacrament because in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist Jesus Christ it truly present in the bread and wine; the altar; the presider , either the bishop or priest; and the congregation or the community of baptized.

B. The Liturgy of the Word The First Reading - The Sacred Scripture to be read is usually taken from the books in the Old Testament of the Bible. The reader goes to the ambo and reads the First Reading, while all sit and listen. Reader: The word of the Lord. Response: Thanks be to God.

2. The Responsorial Psalm - This is usually sung as recited. The Psalm reflects the themes in the reading. Second Reading - The Sacred Scripture to be read is taken from the New Testament, usually from the letters of Saint Paul. The reader goes to the ambo and reads the Second Reading. Reader: The word of the Lord Response: Thanks be to God.

4. The Proclamation of the Gospel - This starts with the singing or reciting of the Alleluia outside the season of Lent. Usually the priest gets the book of the Gospels on the altar, proceeds to the ambo and says: Priest: The Lord be with you. Response: And with your spirit. Priest: A reading from the holy Gospel according to.... (at the same time, he makes the Sign of the Cross on the book and on his forehead, lips and breast. Response: Glory to you, O Lord. ( at the end of the Gospel, the priest says..) Priest: The Gospel of the Lord. Response: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

5. The Homily - This is part of the Mass where the priest explains the Word of God. 6. The Profession of Faith - This is the part where we proclaim our faith by reciting the Nicene Creed. 7. The prayer of the Faithful - This part ends the liturgy of the Word where we pray for our personal needs and the needs of the church and the society as a whole.
