STATIVE VERBS Usually in present simple, not in continuous forms 1 Senses : feel , hear … 2 Appearance : seem, look, resemble.. . 3 Possession : own , have … 4 Mental states or processes : agree , deny , guess …. 5 Attitudes and emotional states : desire , envy ( exceptions : enjoy , long for 6 Other : contain , depend , consist (similar to Spanish verbs ) CAREFUL : Some can have both stative and dynamic uses I have money vs .
