Lets start with the history of money The history of money concerns the development throughout time of systems that provide the functions of money. Such systems can be understood as means of trading wealth indirectly. Money is a mechanism that facilitates this process.

Money may take a physical form as in coins and notes, or may exist as written or electronic account. It may have real value (commodity money), be legally exchangeable for something with real value (representative money), or only have nominal value (fiat money).

Let’s start from the beginning of our list of the richest persons 1. Elon Reeve Musk (born June 28,1971) is an entrepreneur and business magnate. He is the founder, CEO and Chief Engineer at SpaceX ; early- stage investor, CEO and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co- founder of Neuralink and OpenAI . With an estimated net worth of around $255 billion as of December 2021, Musk is the wealthiest person in the world.

Musk was born to a Canadian mother and South African father, and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. He briefly attended the University of Pretoria before moving to Canada at age 17 to avoid conscription. He was enrolled at Queen’s University and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania two years later, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in economics and physics, then moved to California in 1995 to attend Stanford University but decided instead to pursue a business career, co-founding the web software company Zip2 with his brother Kimbal . The startup was acquired by Compaq for $307 million in 1999. the same year, Musk co-founded online bank X.com, which merged with Confinity in 2000 to form PayPal. The company was bought by eBay in 2002 for $1.5 billion.

In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX , an aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company, of which he is CEO and CTO. In 2004, he joined electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors, Inc. (now Tesla, Inc.) as chairman and product architect, becoming its CEO in 2008. In 2006, he helped create SolarCity , a solar energy services company that was later acquired by Tesla and became Tesla Energy.

2. Jeff Bezos Jeffrey Preston Bezos (born January 12, 1964) is an American entrepreneur, media proprietor, investor, computer engineer, and commercial astronaut. He is the founder and executive chairman of Amazon, where he previously served as the president and CEO. With a net worth of around $200 billion as of December 2021, Bezos is the second-wealthiest person in the world according to Forbes index.

Born in Albuquerque and raised in Houston and Miami, Bezos graduated from Princeton University in 1986. He holds a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He worked on Wall Street in a variety of related fields from 1986 to early 1994. Bezos founded Amazon in late 1994, on a cross-country road trip from New York City to Seattle. The company began as an online bookstore and has since expanded to a wide variety of other e-commerce products and services, including video and audio streaming, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

3. Bernard Arnault Bernard Jean Etienne Arnault (born March 5, 1949) is a French businessman, investor and art collector. He is the chairman and chief executive of LVMH (Louis Vuitton – Mo ё t Hennessy), the world’s largest luxury goods company. Arnault is, as of September 2021, the third-richest person in the world and the richest person from Europe, with an estimated net worth of $195.3 billion.

4. Bill Gates William Henry Gates III (born October 28, 1955) is an American business magnate, software developer, investor, author and philanthropist. He is a co-founder of Microsoft, along with his late childhood friend Paul Allen. During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), president and chief software architect, while also being the largest individual shareholder until May 2014. H e is considered one of the best known entrepreneurs of the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s.

Gates was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In 1975, he and Allen founded Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It became the world’s largest personal computer software company. Gates led the company as chairman and CEO until stepping down as CEO in January 2000, succeeded by Steve Ballmer, but he remained chairman of the board of directors and became chief software architect.

5. Mark Zuckerberg Mark Elliot Zuckerberg (born May 14, 1984) is an American media magnate, internet entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is known for co-founding Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly named Facebook , Inc.) and serves as its chairman, chief executive officer, and controlling shareholder. He also is a co-founder of the solar sail spacecraft development project breakthrough Starshot and serves as one of its board members.

Zuckerberg attended Harvard University, where he launched the Facebook social networking service from his dormitory room in February 2004 with his roommates Eduardo Saverin , Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Huges . Originally launched to select college campuses, the site expanded rapidly and eventually beyond colleges, reaching one billion users by 2012. Zuckerberg took the company public in May 2012 with majority shares. In 2007, at age 23, he became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. As of December 2021, Zuckerberg’s net worth was $115 billion, making him the 5 th -richest person in the world.
