YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST SEEK SELF-RELIANCE The young, especially teenagers, begin to establish relationships outside their family circle in their desire to become more independent.
YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST LOVE AND FAMILY We view our parents as the most important source of guidance and emotional support. I f our parents are distant or neglect, we usually seek support from outside the family especially among peers.
YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST RELATIONSHIP ARE PARAMOUNT We rely strongly on a close personal network of family and friends, We also have the desire to be connected with others whether in school, at work or with friends (barkada);
YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT The main priority of most youth is to get a good education and/or achieve personal competence.
YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST DIVERSITY We have high tolerance for different beliefs. We strongly believe in equal rights. Discrimination is an issue which we are concerned about.
YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST EMPOWERED ADVENTURES We have a strong sense of idealism and confidence to accomplish things as we venture into a job and try new adventures; and

DIFFERENCE YOUTH FOR MARY AND CHRIST e. Economic crisis, dramatic increase of OFWs, and growing number of dysfunctional families; and, f. Culture of materialism and consumerism, individualism, hedonism (prefer what is quick, easy and pleasurable), subjectivism (what is important is what makes one happy without regard to morality and traditions), and atheism (God is no longer relevant).
