Theories of motivation

Motivation It is the reason For peoples, actors Willingness and goals. It is derived from word motive Which is defined as a need requires satisfaction. These needs could also be wants or desires that are required through influence of culture, society and life style etc.

Maslow’s Pyramid Presented In research paper by Abraham Maslow 1943 ( A theory of human motivation) , refined the concept in book 1954 (Motivation and personality)

1: Psychological Needs The basic psychological needs are probably Fairly apparent these include the things that are vital to our survival. Some examples of psychological needs Include. 1) Food 2) Water 3) Breathing 4) Homeostasis Stages Of Hierarchy Theory of Motivation

2: Security and Safety Needs As we move up to the second level of Maslow hierarchy of needs. The requirements start to become a bit more complex. At this level the needs of security and Safety become primary. Some of the basic security and Safety needs Include. 1) Financial security 2) Health and wellness 3) Safety against accidents and injury

3: Social Needs / love and Belongingness The social need in Maslow hierarchy Includes such things as love, acceptance and belonging. At the level, the needs for emotional relationship drives humans behavior. Som of the things that satisfy the needs Include. 1) Friendship 2) Romantic attachment 3) Family 4) Social groups 5) Community groups 6) Religious Organization

4: Esteem Needs At this point, its become increasingly important to gain the respect and appreciation of others. People have a need to accomplish thing and then have their efforts recognized. In addition to the needs for feeling of accomplishment and prestige , esteem needs include such thing as self esteem and Personal worth.

5: Self Actualization According to Maslow, Such people seem to be fulfilling themselves and to be doing the best that they are capable of doing. They are people how have developed are a developing to the full stature of which they capable
