Shaheed Diwas, also known as Martyrs' Day, is observed in India on March 23rd each year . It commemorates the sacrifice of three prominent figures in India's struggle for independence : Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru , and Sukhdev Thapar. ABOUT MARTYRS’S DAY OR SHAHID DIWAS
BHAGAT SINGH Bhagat Singh (28 September 1907 – 23 March 1931) was an Indian anti-colonial revolutionary. He Participated in the mistaken murder of a junior British police officer in December 1928 in what was to be retaliation for the death of an Indian nationalist.
BORN PLACE And DIED PLACE Bhagat Singh was born into a Punjabi Sikh family on 27 September 1907 in the village of Banga in the Lyallpur district of the Punjab in what was then British India . And is today Pakistan he was the second of seven children — four sons, and three daughters — born to Vidyavati and her husband Kishan Singh Sandhu.
Shivaram Rajguru Shivaram Hari Rajguru (24 August 1908 – 23 March 1931) [1] [2] was an Indian revolutionary from Maharashtra (then Bombay Presidency ). He was an active member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) and on 23 March 1931, he was hanged by the British government along with his associates Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev Thapar .
BORN PLACE And DIED PLACE Rajguru was born on 24 August 1908 at Khed to Parvati Devi and Harinarayan Rajguru in a Marathi DeshasthaBrahmin family . Khed was located at the bank of river Bheema near Pune .His father died when he was only six years old and the responsibility of the family fell on his elder brother Dinkar .
Sukhdev Thapar Sukhdev Thapar (15 May 1907 – 23 March 1931) was an Indian freedom fighter who fought against the British government for the freedom of India. He was executed along with Shivaram Raj guru and Bhagat Singh on 23 March 1931.
BORN PLACE And DIED PLACE Sukhdev Thapar was born in Ludhiana , Punjab , British Raj on 15 May 1907 to Ramlal Thapar and Ralli Devi. 23 March 1931 (aged 23) Lahore Central Jail , Punjab , British India (present-day Punjab , Pakistan )
