Threshing The Mountains

The Ways to Thresh Mountains 1. PRACTICING THE PRESENCE OF GOD -- PRAISE --

Practicing God’s Presence encompasses several aspects including: Consecration Obedience to God Prayer Praise and Worship The Word (studying & Meditating) Fellowship with the brethren.

Mountains may represent: Things or projects we want to do. Issues/things opposing our progress or lifting. Obstacles/sicknesses/problems the enemy casts against us. Ladders/levels of influence we wish to ascend to in career, business, profession, ministry, etc.

Isaiah 41:1, 8-16 God -- commands coast lands of Palestine, Egypt, Asia Minor to be silent and come near for judgment. You are God’s servant God has chosen you You are a covenant son/daughter of Abraham by faith. God has taken you from the ends of the earth Fear not -- for God is with you… He is your God.

Judgment against your enemies… all those incensed against you… Shall be ashamed and disgraced, They shall be as nothing, Those who strive against you shall perish & be no more. Those who contended & war with you… shall be as nothing -- as a nonexistent thing.

The Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying FEAR NOT, I WILL HELP YOU. God will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth. (You are God’s instrument of war). You shall thresh the mountains & beat them small. You shall make the hills like chaff. After overcoming your mountains , you shall rejoice and glory in the Lord , the Holy One of Israel .

Psalm 121:1-8 Our help this year and other years comes from the LORD -- Jehovah who made heaven and earth…and everything. He will not allow your foot to be moved… The LORD is your keeper… The LORD will preserve you from all evil. He will preserve your soul. He will preserve your going out & coming in, this time forth, and even forevermore.

Psalm 114:1-8 Judah - means PRAISE – so, PRAISE became His sanctuary . God’s dominion (sovereign power/authority, rule; control; domination) rested upon Israel. The sea saw it and fled … Jordan turned back …. the mountains skipped like rams … the little hills like lambs. Why? (v.5-6) At the presence of the Lord …at the presence of our God.

Nothing can stand against God’s presence -- no power .. no sickness … no bondage can hold -- every opposition melts at the presence of God. Psalm 22:3 “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” Isaiah 43:21 “This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.”

Praise… is talking, or singing, about God – how wonderful He is, and what He has done for us. To praise is to: Speak well of …To express admiration for… Praise is dwelling on the Greatness of God. Psalms 143:3 Our God is immense and infinite . Immense means extremely large. God is beyond natural measurement. Job 5:9; 9:10 Infinite means God is unlimited in areas like time and space.
