Thethrombiaregenerallymicroscopicinsize,yetso
numerousastooftencausecirculatoryinsufficiency,
particularlyinthebrain,lungs,heart,andkidneys
Thewidespreadmicrovascularthrombosisconsumes
plateletsandcoagulationproteins(consumption
coagulopathy),andatthesametime,fibrinolytic
