What Is TIFAC? Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) is an autonomous organization. It works under the Department of Science & Technology. TIFAC continues to strive for technology development of the country by leveraging technology innovation.
History Of TIFAC.. It was set up in 1988. In 1993, TIFAC embarked upon the major task of formulating a Vision for the country. The outcome was, “Technology Vision 2020.” It involved more than 5,000 experts including scientists, technologists and corporate managers.
