SKIRT COSMETICS AND HAIR ACCESSORIES SOCKS MUST NOT HAVE DESIGNS AND MUST BE ABOVE THE ANKLE. SCHOOL SKIRT MUST COVER THE STUDENT’S KNEES. NON-SCHOOL JACKETS AND HOODIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. STUDENTS CAN WEAR THE SCHOOL CARDIGAN. BRACELETS, PIERCINGS, NECKLACES AND ANKLE BRACELETS ARE NOT PERMITTED. EARRINGS SHOULD BE SMALL. COSMETICS, INCLUDING COLOURED NAIL VARNISH, IS NOT PERMITTED TO BE WORN WITH THE SCHOOL UNIFORM. INCLUDING FOUNDATION, LIP GLOSS, EYE SHADOW, EYE LINER, MASCARA AND FAKE EYELASHES. ELECTRONIC DEVICES POLICY 2024 SMARTPHONES ARE TO BE TURNED OFF FROM 7:15AM TO 3:15PM AND REMAIN IN BAG OR LOCKER. SMARTWATCHES AS PHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF, WATCHES SHOULD NOT HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION. EARBUDS MUST NOT BE USED NEITHER IN THE CLASSROOM NOR IN THE HALLWAYS. LAPTOPS & TABLETS ARE THE ONLY ELECTRONIC LEARNING TOOLS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM. USE ONLY WHEN INSTRUCTED BY TEACHER.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES (PHONES, SMARTWATCH, EARBUDS) SHOULD NOT BE USED IN THE CLASSROOMS, HALLWAYS, NOR DURING RECESS AND LUNCH PERIODS. INCOMPLETES POLICY 2024 SHOULD A STUDENT BE ABSENT FOR A SUMMATIVE, THESE STEPS WILL BE FOLLOWED FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE MISSED ASSIGNMENT: STEP ONE: 1ST OPPORTUNITY TEACHERS EMAIL PARENTS AND STUDENTS WITH NEW DATE FOR SUMMATIVE ADMINISTER AND COMPLETE 01 02 ADMINISTER AND COMPLETE 01 02 STEP TWO: FINAL OPPORTUNITY IF STUDENT IS ABSENT FOR THE 2ND OPPORTUNITY: TEACHERS EMAIL PARENTS AND STUDENTS WITH NEW DATE FOR SUMMATIVE.

IN THE CASE THAT THE STUDENT IS ABSENT ON BOTH OCCASIONS, A FAILING GRADE WILL BE AWARDED. THIS GRADE CANNOT BE CHANGED. GRADE 1 -GRADE 6: 2.0 GRADE 7- GRADE 12: 1.0 SHOULD THE SAME STUDENT BE RECURRENTLY ABSENT FOR SUMMATIVES, COORDINATOR WILL CONTACT PARENT/GUARDIAN . EXCEPTIONAL CASES (E.G. HEALTH ISSUES, BEREAVEMENT, AUTHORISED TRAVEL) MUST BE NOTIFIED. STUDENT MUST PRESENT DOCTOR’S NOTE OR SIGNED LETTER TO HOMEROOM TEACHER WITHIN 2 DAYS OF ABSENCE. (HANDWRITTEN OR EMAIL) UNAUTHORISED ABSENCES TO ASSESSMENTS WILL RESULT IN A 10% DEDUCTION FROM FINAL ASSESSMENT GRADE.

01 BEHAVIOUR POLICY 2024 THE POLICY AIMS TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. CREATING CLASS RULES, FOLLOWING SCHOOL POLICIES, ACHIEVING HIGH EXPECTATIONS, & BEING ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE OXFORD SCHOOL COMMUNITY. WE ALL HAVE A PART TO PLAY IN: 02 A VERBAL WARNING IS GIVEN FOR A POLICY DISRUPTION. POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT IS GIVEN TO REMIND STUDENT OF WHAT IS EXPECTED. REFLECT ON BEHAVIOUR AND MAKE IMPROVEMENTS. STUDENT HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 03 SHOULD BEHAVIOUR PERSIST, A BEHAVIOUR FORM WILL BE COMPLETED BY THE MEMBER OF STAFF. COORDINATION OFFICE WILL RECEIVE BEHAVIOUR REPORT.

05 06 CONSEQUENCES BASED ON WARNINGS: THREE WARNINGS: DETENTION. PARENTAL AGREEMENTS: PARENTS MEET WITH COORDINATION TO CREATE A PLAN TO SUPPORT BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES. IF BEHAVIOUR PERSISTS, THE DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE WILL INTERVENE IN ACCORDANCE TO THE SCHOOL’S “REGLAMENTO INTERNO”. OUR BEHAVIOUR POLICY IS NOT LIMITED TO THIS SEQUENCE OF EVENTS, BUT RATHER DEPENDS ON THE SEVERITY OF THE INCIDENT (E.G. PHYSICAL AGGRESSION, VERBAL ABUSE, BULLYING, CYBER-BULLYING) . UPON RECEIVING A DISCLOSURE, THE HEADTEACHER’S OFFICE WILL LEAD AN INVESTIGATION AND ACTIVATE THE RELEVANT ASPECTS OF “REGLAMENTO INTERNO”. THIS INCLUDES SHARING INFORMATION WITH NATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IF NECESSARY. DISCLOSURES MUST BE MADE IN A FORMAL MANNER BY THE PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE AFFECTED STUDENT(S). REMEMBER THAT MINORS ARE INVOLVED; AVOID CIRCULATING INFORMATION THROUGH INFORMAL MEANS.
