Focus on the customer 2. Employee Involvement 3. Continous improvement GURU’S OF TQM : 1– W Edward Deming - Best known of early pioneers in Japan in 1954 . 2. Joseph Juran – He defines quality as fitness for use in terms of design, conformance, availability, safety and field use. 3 . Philip Crosby - He defines Quality as conformance to requirements not “Goodness”. 4 . Taguchi – He believed it is preferably to design product that is prone to any change in manufacturing process. 5. Armand V Feigenbaum – He defined it as an effective system for integrating quality development ,quality maintenance and quality improvement efforts of the various groups within as organisation. 6 . Dr. Kaoru Ishikawa – He made many contributions to quality ,the most noteworthy being his total quality viewpoint.
