TRANSCULTURAL “TRANSCULTURATION ” – Coined by ‘FERNANDO ORTIZ ’ in 1947. According to him – “ Phenomenon of merging and converging culture ” . “TRANSCULTURE” – Transition from one culture to another . It includes merging of different cultures to form a new culture. TRANSCULTURAL SOCIETY DEFINITION – “ It refers to a group of people , living as a community, where different culture , religion and language work together with much understanding. It is a society which extends through all human cultures. It is an ideal of freedom embracing all the people of the world .”

ACCORDING TO JEFF LEWIS : - Transculturalism is characterised by Cultural fluidity and the dynamics of cultural changes. By conflict , necessity,revolution or the slow progress of interaction, different groups share their stories , symbols , values, meanings and experiences. CHARACTERISTIC :- Transculturalism is self-reflexive, very broad and open in nature. It points out relationship of power through the medium of language and history.
Through socio-spatial interaction , new identities are continuously created which Comprises transcultural moments. Two types of flows which make transcultural moments : Bodies in travelling , migrating and community spaces. Affective flows generating intense emotions.

To develop strategies for advocating social changes for culturally competent care. To promote a sound financial non- profit corporation.
