Regional Transformation Roadmap
Action for Results Group (ARG) was established as a result of the 11th Global Management Meeting in Geneva (December 2022)
ARG | Action plan The right and sufficient capacities in the right places Country offices empowered to make decisions that drive impact in countries WHO enabled to work across sectors effectively The right and sufficient financing for country offices WHO has bottom-up planning and prioritization that is focused on driving impact in every country Country offices have effective and efficient ways of working
ARG | Main accomplishments Core Predictable Country Presence (CPCP) The WHO Director-General has committed to allocating US$ 200 million in this biennium 155 prioritized positions in the Region, budget: US$ 46 million A user-friendly, real-time dashboard to monitor implementation Delegation of Authority Signed by the WHO Director-General and the Regional Director ( May 2023) Empowers WHO Representatives to play their pivotal role in the countries they serve Mobility I nitial voluntary phase started in July 2023 205 positions were available globally Of 171 staff members who applied for positions, 52 were from the Region 6
Action for Results Task Force (ARTF) ARTF Regional Director Responsible for monitoring progress of ARG dashboard and enhancing transparency and accountability of the process Chaired by 2 WRs Stakeholders at regional and country offices Translates global ARG milestones and timelines into regional action plans
Substantial progress in making the Organization fit-for-purpose and aligned for impact at country level

Encourage the establishment of country transformation teams
