10. Potential Transformers Most delicate and accurate transformer. Lower the voltage by a small and extremely accurate amount. Common transformation ratios are 10:1, 20:1, and 40:1. These are shell type transformers.

11. Instrument Transformers Only placed inside devices such as voltmeters. Also referred as accurate ratio transformers. Only handles a small amount of power (load).
