2. Amenorrhea
(Absence of Period)
•Amenorrheais the absence of menstruation —one or more missed
menstrual periods.
•Women who have missed at least 3 menstrual periods in a row
haveamenorrhea,
•As do girls who haven't begun
menstruation by age 15.

5. Primary Amenorrhea
Failure of mensesto occur by either:
•Age 16or 2 years after onset of puberty.
•in the presence of normal growth and secondary sexual
characteristics.
If by,
•Age 13menses has not occurred and the onset of puberty, such as
breast development, is absentthen it isprimary amenorrhea.

•Cessation of menses after they have begun.
