Adding Fractions

Overview
This set of tutorials provides 11 examples of how
to subtract fractions.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 1. In this example, two
fractions with a common denominator are subtracted. The
difference is already in simplified form.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 2. In this example, two
fractions with a common denominator are subtracted. The
difference needs to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 3. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. One denominator
is a multiple of the other. The difference does not need simplification.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 4. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. One denominator
is a multiple of the other. The difference needs to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 5. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. LCD is not one
of the denominators. The difference does not need to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 6. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. LCD is not
one of the denominators. The difference needs to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 7. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. The denominators
are relatively prime. The difference does not need to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 8. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. The denominators
are relatively prime. The difference needs to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 9. In this example, two fractions
with different denominators are subtracted. One of the denominators is a
prime number. The difference does not need to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 10. In this example, two
fractions with different denominators are subtracted. One of the
denominators is a prime number. The difference needs to be simplified.

Tutorial--Subtracting Fractions Example 11. In this example, two fractions
with different denominators are subtracted. Both denominators are prime
numbers. The difference does not need to be simplified.
