Types of energy

What is the definition of energy? Energy is  the ability to do work

We have many types of energy such as: nuclear energy , motion energy and radiant energy .

NUCLEAR ENERGY Nuclear energy is  a form of energy released from the nucleus, the core of atoms, made up of protons and neutrons .

Nuclear energy is the most reliable energy source in the U.S. ... Nuclear energy powers rovers on Mars. ... Nuclear energy releases zero carbon emissions. ... There are 440 nuclear plants present in over 30 countries. ... Nuclear power plants can be placed in urban and rural areas

MOTION ENERGY Motion energy – also known as mechanical energy – is  the energy stored in moving objects . As the object moves faster, more energy is stored. Motion energy is the sum of potential and kinetic energy in an object that is used to do work.

FACTS ABOUT MOTION ENERGY Motion energy is  energy stored in moving objects . The faster an object moves, the more energy is stored. It takes energy to get an object moving, and energy is released when an object slows down. Wind is an example of motion energy.

RADIANT ENERGY Radiant energy, also known as electromagnetic radiation or energy, is  found in electromagnetic waves such as visible light, ultraviolet rays, infrared rays, gamma rays, and radio waves , for example. Solar energy and radiant energy are two closely related concepts, whose history has advanced in parallel.

Facts about radiant energy Fact 1: Radiant energy is transmitted by waves or particles, it usually travels by electromagnetic waves. Fact 2: What are electromagnetic waves used for? Microwaves, X-rays and light are some good examples of the way we use electromagnet waves. Fact 3:  Radiant energy is produced naturally .
