Claim

CLAIM A claim is a statement that is arguable and debatable that is used to defend opinion or position on a certain topic.

Types of Claim

1. Claim of Fact asserts that something is true in the past, present or future. Ex. The extinction of animals is due to human activities

2. Claim of Value focused on asserting personal judgements and biases. Ex. Puerto Princesa Palawan has better view than Boracay

3. Claim of Policy focused on suggesting what must be and must not be done. It propose a course of action to solve a problem.

Ex. Cyber bullying is very rampant nowadays, so, parents should be aware of what their children are doing on social media.

Concept Paper Concept papers are summaries of projects or issues that contemplate interests, experience and expertise that commonly serves as a purpose of delivering an in-depth discussion of a certain topic that a person has a strong position on.
