Fiction The word “ fiction” has been derived from Latin word “ fetus” which means “to form”. Fiction refers to prose in which imaginary stories either realistic or unrealistic are told; which include stories, novels, etc. Fiction refers to literature created from the imagination and truth. Mysteries, science fiction, romance, fantasy, thrillers are all fiction genres.
