TYPES OF MIRRORS ANUBHAB SAHA
WHAT ARE MIRRORS It is a smooth and shiny surface that reflects all the light falling on it. It is made by silvering the back surface of a glass whick makes the surface shiny and does not let the light pass through . Then the silvering is covered with an opaque object to protect it.
TYPES OF MIRRORS Plane mirror : These are flat mirrors that reflect images in their normal proportions, reversed from left to right. Spherical mirrors : A curved mirror is a mirror with a curved reflecting surface. The surface may be either convex or concave. Most curved mirrors have surfaces that are shaped like part of a sphere, but other shapes are sometimes used in optical devices.
CONCAVE AND CONVEX MIRROR CONCAVE MIRROR CONVEX MIRROR Size of image depends on location depends on location of the object. Size of image is smaller than that of the object. Images can be upright or inverted. Images are upright. Location of image depends on location of object. Image is located behind mirror ( position varies). Forms either a virtual or real image. Forms a virtual image.
