1. DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH Descriptive research  aims to accurately and systematically describe a population, situation or phenomenon . It can answer what, where, when and how questions, but not why questions. A descriptive research design can use a wide variety of research methods to investigate one or more variables.

2. CASUAL/EXPLANATORY RESEARCH Causal research is also known as  explanatory research. It’s a type of research that examines if there’s a cause-and-effect relationship between two separate events. This would occur when there is a change in one of the independent variables, which is causing changes in the dependent variable.

3. EXPLORATARY RESEARCH Exploratory research is  a methodology approach that explores research questions that have not previously been studied in depth . It is often used when the issue you're studying is new, or the data collection process is challenging in some way.
