USB: THE BASICS USB (Universal Serial Bus) It is a protocol* and hardware** standard for digital communications. Its primary aim is to standardized communication and power sources for computer peripherals.*** It combines data and power supply. Protocol - is  a standardized set of rules for formatting and processing data . Computer hardware –is any of the physical components of an analog or digital computer . Peripheral device - is  an external device that connects to a computer  to expand its capabilities.
