KNOW the initial screens
COMMAND FIELD – you can type your
transaction code
MENU BAR – Top most line, changes as per the
selected business process
STANDARD TOOL BAR – Various push buttons,
in line with command field
TITLE BAR – Title (of the business process)
displayed
Application tool bar- Show various push
buttons
Check box – you can check (put a tick mark as
many as you wish as per requirement
Radio buttons – you can select only one
Tab page – Tab stick controls

KNOW the initial screens
Status bar – You can see the transaction
code, placed at bottom of screen.
Input field – you can type your inputs ex:
description of material
Use extras / Settings – you can change
favorites top / bottom, you can display or
hide picture.
SM12 – You can clear the lock if other
log ins have locked your transaction
SE93 – You can see all transactions with
use of * either in the beginning or at the
end.

Important to note
SAP GUI ( Graphic User Interface) connect the
front end computer with specific SAP system
You can start SAP GUI by SAP log on
Client is an independent business entity
Generally represents a company in SAP system
You can have maximum six sessions per log on
User master record contains data for a
particular user within a client
PFCG is the T (transaction) code for role
maintence
Maximum of last used 15 T codes can appear in
the command window

TAB -Goes to the next field element
within a field group
CTRL + TAB -Goes to the first
element of the next field group
CTRL+/ -Goes direct to the
command field
/N -Cancel the current transaction

by cancelling the existing
transaction (# # # # - T code)
/O –Will display an overview of the
existing transaction
/O # # # # -Call a new transaction
with out ending the existing
transaction
/NEND – To log off with a
confirmation dialogue box

/i – To delete the session you are
currently using.
F1 – To get explanation of the
field functions. It will also
display the technical help on
the relevant field.
F3 – To go back

T Code – You can enter T code with out
any prefix only from the easy access
Configure help menu – Help on menu bar
>Setting >F1/F4/Library
Alt+_ - you can navigate to the menus in
the menu bar by Alt + the underlined
letter of the required menu option
