5. World tourism organization It is the United Nation agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism . It promote tourism as a driver of economic growth, development and environment sustainability.

Objective of unwto The objectives of the UNWTO are to promote and develop sustainable tourism to contribute to economic development, international understanding, peace, universal respect, human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion. In pursuing these aims, UNWTO pays particular attention to the interests of developing countries in the field of tourism.

12. Structure General Assembly : it is the principal gathering the world tourism organization It meet every two years to approve the budget & programme of work. Every four year it elect secretory General. Regional commission : UNWTO has six regional commission – Africa, the Americans, East Asia & the Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia. Executive Council : It is UNWTO governing board, responsible for ensuring that he organization carries out its work and adheres its budget. It meets at least twice a year.

Secretariat : The secretariat is led by Secretory General Taleb Rifiai of Jordan who supervises about 110 full time staff at UNWTO Madrid Headquarters.
