Scheme Overview The Pre Matric Scholarship aims to support Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Uttar Pradesh. It provides financial assistance to help students continue their secondary education (Classes 9 and 10). The scheme empowers marginalized students and reduces financial burdens on their families.
Benefits Component 1: • ₹3,500 per annum (Day Students) • ₹7,000 per annum (Residential Students) Component 2: • ₹3,500 per annum (Day Students) • ₹8,000 per annum (Residential Students)
Eligibility Criteria • Must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. • Must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. • Children of families in traditionally unclean occupations are eligible. • Financial criteria: - Component 1: Family income ≤ ₹2,50,000 per annum. - Component 2: No income limit. • Age limit: 12 to 20 years (as of July 1st). • Cannot receive other scholarships simultaneously (with some exceptions). • All children of the applicant’s parents are eligible.
Application Process – Registration Step 1: Visit the official website. Step 2: Click ‘Registration’ under Student section. Step 3: Choose category – ST/SC/General/OBC/Minority/Children in unclean profession. Step 4: Select scheme type – Pre-Matric (Fresh), Post-Matric, or Other State. Step 5: Fill in required details and submit. Step 6: Note down the registration number shown on screen.
Application Process – Login & Submission Step 1: Go to the official website. Step 2: Click ‘Fresh Login’ under Student option. Step 3: Enter registration number, mobile number, and password. Step 4: Complete DigiLocker verification. Step 5: Fill out the application form (personal, registration, and bank details). Step 6: Upload required documents. Step 7: Complete NPCI verification. Step 8: Download and print the application form. Step 9: Submit to the educational institute with all documents.
