About This Presentation

About Digital Citizenship.

Slide Content

I can look up information. I practice learning skills. I communicate with others. I am a digital citizen.

It is easier than ever to communicate with others and learn about each other with technology. Did you know? Have you signed up for new accounts online? Did you have to give information about yourself? That information is stored away and can be used by those organizations. Be aware of your “digital footprint!” Your digital footprint is what you leave behind after you post or communicate with others online.

Digital Citizen Devices Cell phones Tablets Laptop computers Desktop computers

We use different ways to communicate with others as digital citizens. Email Messaging applications Social media Talking on the phone Video sharing websites

We use technology to further our learning. We may use applications to play games. These games can be video games for fun or to help with our learning. We can also use technology to help organize our learning. You may already use many of these applications and websites at home and in your classroom!

Plagiarism is when you steal someone else’s ideas and claim it as your own. Do not directly copy someone’s writing. Always give credit to an author or website when you are looking up information.
