Application Procedure to USA

Mention the correct intake for which the student has applied for. The reason being some Universities may have several intakes in one academic year. Mention the correct Program name for which the student is applying, as in some universities there can be two similar different programs offered at masters level like Masters of Computer Science, Master of Science in Computer Science, Master of Science in Information Technology, Master of Science in Management Information System, M.S. in Software Engineering, M.S. in Network Systems, etc. Please check the Admission requirements for the particular program for international applicants such as GPA, GRE/GMAT/ NEW SAT/ACT Scores & TOEFL/ IELTS/ PTE Scores. If eligible then make application. Keep check on the application deadline . Make sure that you are applying well in advance before the deadlines. Certain universities have departmental deadline along with general deadline. Need to follow the earliest deadlines. After submitting online application, it is recommended to take the printout of the application submission confirmation & payment receipt for future correspondence with the University. Incase of paper based application check for international application form only. It has to be filled in black ink & capital letters only. Points to take care while making application.

Points to take care while making application. Write the name as it is given in the passport Do not punch or staple any documents when you are sending your application packet to University or to Krishna Consultants. It is recommended to use binder clip of each applicant for each application. Student’s signature on the resume & statement of purpose is mandatory Photo copy of Identity & address page of the passport . Photocopy of academics & extra curricular activities, certificates have to be in English only. Bachelors’ mark sheets have to be submitted in the transcript form. Description of Transcripts is given later on in this presentation. If the University to which application is being done, requires the International Student Financial Aid form to be filled by the applicant then it should be filled & signed duly by student. Mostly US Universities require official transcripts attested by University Registrar or Controller of Examinations only.

Documents required for applying to US Universities    Application – Online/Paper Base Financial Documents – Bank Balance Certificate & Affidavit of Support. (not mandatory) Photo copy of Academic Documents duly attested by College Principal. Std 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th mark sheet & Certificates for Bachelors Program. Bachelor Degree Certificate & Individual Mark Sheet semester wise or yearly with backlogs clearance, if any for Masters Program. Photo copy of Passport – Identity & Address details. Statement of Purpose & Resume. 3 sets of Letter of Recommendations in sealed envelope. 1 set of University Transcripts in sealed envelope of Bachelors & Masters for each university. Photocopy of Scores report of Standardized Test i.e. GRE / GMAT / IELTS / TOEFL Scores /PTE Card Photocopy of certificates of extra‐curricular activities (State‐level and National level) All Photo copy has to be in A‐4 size duly attested.

University Intake US Universities have three intakes : Spring (some programs available) Summer (few programs available) Fall (All programs available‐major intake) Kindly note: Check the website of the particular university whether the programs are offered for the particular intake.

Bank Balance Certificate Bank Balance Certificate should reflect the amount of USD 45000 aprox. which covers the tuition fee, living expenses & other expenses. Specification: It has to be on the bank printed letter head signed by the Branch Manager or Authorized please make sure that nothing is handwritten and reference no. & stamped and Signatory. Also, ‐ even the date

Resume /Curriculum Vitae (CV) Resume should be signed by the student. The CV (resume) is meant to introduce you and your background to somebody who does not know you and barely has time to get to know you. It should present you in the best possible light, in a concise and well‐structured manner. The Resume should not exceed two pages. You should include the following points in CV Personal details / Languages Known Academic Objective Awards received Practical experience / Extracurricular activities Computer skills

Statement of Purpose (SOP) Statement of Purpose should be signed by the student. The program name which the student wants to pursue should be clearly and correctly mentioned in the SOP. The student with research background should clearly mention their research interest, technical papers presented, etc. The SOP should not exceed two pages. Take care that the following points are covered in SOP Academic Background Extra‐Curricular Activities Research Interests Short term & Long term Career Plans Why that particular University

Letters of Recommendations Three Letters of Recommendations need to be submitted to each University : If the applicant is studying then all the LORs should be academic only. i.e. from Principal, HOD’s or Professors. If the applicant is working or has work experience, then one from the Employer & the other two LORS can be academic.

Letters of Recommendations LOR should be on College or Company letter head.    LOR should mention Date, Authorized Signatory Signature and Designation, Qualifications & Contact id or no.. LOR should be in a sealed envelope. Should have Stamp & Signature on reverse side of the envelope where the envelope is sealed, of the person signing the LOR. LOR matter should be different. It should be prepared technically & subject specific. Copying from previous student is not permitted. Note: Some of the universities compulsorily ask for recommendation in their own format. Download the LOR of the specific university & get it filled & signed by the concerned person. General Rule for LOR

University Transcripts University Transcripts : (1 set per University)  Bachelor’s Degree or Provisional Degree Certificate, c onsolid at ed mark she e t & individua l mark she e t semester wise or year wise with Backlogs if any signed & stamped by the University Registrar or Controller of the examinations. The mark sheets should be in English.  E n v elope should be signed an d s t ampe d b y the University Registrar/Controller of Examiner across the seal of the envelope.

Scores Reporting Official Score reporting is to be done directly through Testing Center separately. Photo copy of GRE/GMAT/NEW SAT/ACT/TOEFL or IELTS Scores Report to be submitted along with other supporting documents to fasten the process.  If the student has not given GRE/GMAT/NEW SAT/ ACT/TOEFL or IELTS be remember to mention in the covering letter when the student is appearing for the test. All the universities which require the hard copy documents ( physical copies ) we will be sending it to universities after doing the necessary process. We will provide you the tracking details for the shipment, so that you can track it. You need to deposit Rs. 1000/‐ per application as processing fees for hard copy documents ( physical copies ) and Rs. 500/‐ for Soft Copy (Legible Scanned Copies) into KC Bank Account. This should be followed as and when you are sending the application to our represented universities for processing. Processing charges are the charges that are required by us to process the application ( Hard, Soft, Upload ) further to the university and Shipment charges are included in it. Procedure followed by US Universities to update the application status of the students: US Universities communicate the application status to the email Id entered while submitting online application. They update the application status online in student portal which can be accessed & checked frequently with the same password & id used while submitting online application . They may update periodically as and when application moves to the other stage. The acceptance email may be received by the student, if this is the case then associate must keep a track with the student simultaneously updating Krishna about the acceptance so that we can follow‐up with the University for the I 20. This 2 way system would help both of us to generate more business. At times student receives the I 20’s to their residential address. Associate need to keep in touch of Student and inform us accordingly. Application Status

Post Acceptance Services Once student receives the I 20: Inform us the University student has finalized. Inform us abut the visa interview date. We can also conduct visa mock interview for your student, if you feel there is a need subject to student is going to our represented University for visa interview. Once student receives the Visa: Inform us immediately to update our record. As soon as intake is over, please email us the invoice to raise the invoice to respective Universities.
