CONTEXT
Requirements for inspecting vehicle (Inward and Outgoing ) Ensure documented procedure in place for inspecting , monitoring and recording all incoming and outgoing transportation vehicles and containers to ensure that the transportation means do not adversely affect the ingredients, packaging materials and finished goods . All vehicle shall be clean , structurally sound , and has not or will not promote deterioration, contamination or damage to the contents. All vehicle shall be inspected prior to unloading or loading by competent personnel The body of the vehicle or container shall be free, and the inspection shall include checks the following: Holes , tears , etc., that would allow damage from weather , entrance and/or harborage of pests or damage to product itself.
Requirements for inspecting vehicle (Inward and Outgoing) Checks for nails, large splinters, bolts, or any other protrusions that may damage the product shall be ensured. Food material, debris, and other contaminants such as broken glass, metal shavings, chemicals, etc. Objectionable odours and mold. Infestation or evidence of insect, bird, and rodent activity. Doors and hatches shall provide a tight seal upon closing to prevent contamination or damage due to weather, insects, rodents or other pests. Vehicles and containers unfit for loading of products shall be rejected to the carrier and replaced appropriately. This includes vehicles and containers treated with pesticide. Bulk tankers shall have appropriate documentation (i.e., wash certificate) to verify that they were properly cleaned and sanitized prior to filling.

Good warehouse Practice Organized Storage: Arrange items neatly and logically to maximize space and ease of access. Clear Labeling: Use clear and consistent labels for all goods and storage locations. Regular Inventory Checks: Conduct routine stock counts to maintain accurate inventory records. Safety First: Ensure all pathways are clear, and safety equipment is available and maintained. Proper Handling: Train staff on correct lifting techniques and use of equipment to prevent damage and injuries. Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean and free from debris to improve safety and efficiency.
Good warehouse Practice (continued) Use of Technology: Implement barcode scanning and warehouse management systems for accuracy and speed. FIFO/FEFO Methods: Apply appropriate inventory rotation methods like FIFO & FEFO to reduce spoilage. Maintenance of Equipment: Regularly service forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment. Access Control: Limit warehouse access to authorized personnel to enhance security.
