Communication involves three components:
Verbal communication Verbal communication refers to the form of communication in which message is transmitted verbally; communication is done by word of mouth and a piece of writing. Objective of every communication is to have people understand what we are trying to convey. Verbal Communication is further divided into: Oral Communication: Spoken words are used. Written Communication: written signs or symbols are used.
VERBAL Communication
Paraverbal communication Paraverbal communication refers to the messages that we transmit through the tone, pitch, and pacing of our voices. It is HOW we say something NOT WHAT we say.
When we are angry or excited,our speech tends to become more rapid and higher pitched. When we are bored or feeling down, our speech tends to slow and take on a monotone quality. When we are feeling denfensive , our speech is often abrupt.
NON-VERBAL Communication: Non verbal communication speak louder than words
