Our beautifully designed villas are set by the side of the small bay of Viglia, one of the most
unspoilt areas of Crete. In this area, two of the most famous and 'best' rated beaches of
Greece are closed by; Falassarna beach is only 6km away and easily accessible, and Balos
Lagoon is at the end of the peninsula which can be reached either by a jeep (45; drive) or
boat (1hr).
Kissamos town is well known for its superb products, such as olive oil, wine, fresh fish, few to
name. About 1km away from Viglia Villas is a fish tavern with great history, the 'old Tsengas'
found on a fish marina only 1km away from Viglia Villas, and one can enjoy fresh fish cooked
with a real Mediterranean taste. Kissamos offers a quiet but warm walk by its promenade,
with a variety of taverns, modern cafes and shops. The town has about 15,000 inhabitants
and it offers all facilities and amenities i.e. post office, banks, modern supermarkets, yet
local taverns and small shops which we highly recommend to try them for their quality!
Kissamos is not only rich in nature and exclusive beaches, but in history too. Several
remarkable ancient sides were found in Kissamos, dated from the Neolithic era, to the
Minoans, and then Romans left their footprints in the area too; which many artefacts are kept
at the archaeological museum of Kissamos. More activities can be explored in Kissamos,
such as fishing, sailing and yachting, swimming and diving, hiking, horse riding few to note.
Chania centre is easily accessible and a pleasant drive of 30', yet the airport of Chania is about
50' drive.
Viglia Beach Villas are located at the exquisite picturesque golden
sandy bay of 'Viglia', thus taking the project's name from this idyllic
beach, which it's only 300 meters from the port of Kissamos and 2km
from the town's centre.
