BEFORE WORK
The nature of work safety that needs to be considered
before carrying out work includes:
1. Preparation and use of work safety equipment for the
worker, namely;
Safety helmet:
is a personal protective equipment that functions as a
head protector from various objects that have the
potential to directly hit the head. Safety helmets are also
important to prevent hitting the head from various hard
objects.

Safety belt:
a safety device that is needed when using transportation or
other similar instruments such as heavy equipment, trucks,
cars, planes, and so on.
Rubber boots or boots:
this personal protective equipment is also important in SOPs
and K3 procedures as foot protection when working in muddy
and muddy places. This type of shoe can also protect the feet
from being exposed to sharp objects, heat and chemicals.

Safety shoes:
protective shoes made of metal-coated leather with a sole
made of thick and strong rubber. Its function is to avoid
fatal accidents that have the potential to hit the feet due
to heavy and sharp objects, hot objects, and chemical
liquids.
Gloves:
this one hand protective device functions when working in
a place that results in hand injuries. The material and
shape of the gloves need to be adapted to the use of each
field of work.

Ear muff or ear plug:
earmuffs are protective ear organs that function when
working in a noisy place or environment.
Safety glasses:
Safety glasses are eye protection that serves to protect
the eyes. Usually required when welding.

Mask:
air filter when working in a place that has poor air quality.
Face shield:
face shield is important to protect the face from splashes of foreign
objects while working.
Raincoat:
protect yourself from splashing water while working.

2. Checking the tools and equipment used, such as;
checking hammer heads, safety equipment on machines
and others
3. Checking on the material that will also be employed
such as checking some parts of the plate are sharp.
4. The work environment also needs to be considered,
because a comfortable work environment can motivate
the worker to work more concentrated, so that there is a
chance for a small accident to occur.

AT WORK
Paying attention to the nature of safety at work needs
serious attention, because usually accidents that often
occur are when carrying out work. Efforts that are
treated to avoid or reduce the occurrence of accidents can
be taken in the following ways:
Use equipment according to the role.
Do not try to operate a machine that does not
understand the correct working principles of the work
being done.
The worker must master work safety knowledge.
Full concentration in work.

DONE WORK
After finishing work, work safety also needs to be
considered. Due to several consequences that often occur
after the work is completed, one of which is damage to
equipment and machinery, it is also possible for
accidents to occur to workers and the work environment.
In addition, the negligence that often occurs is forgetting
to turn off the electrical control panel. This is very
dangerous for other workers who are not aware such as
accidentally pressing a machine button or stepping on an
electric current cable and so on.
