Windows Tools is a folder in the Windows 11 Control Panel. Administrative Tools is a folder in the Windows 10 Control Panel. These folders contain tools for system administrators and advanced users.

System tools in computer like disk check, disk defragmenter, etc help in aforementioned system maintenance. It is practically impossible for administrators to manually perform these maintenance activities on individual computers.

But when it comes to the classic Control Panel, you can get to it by simply hitting the Windows Key and type: cpl and hit Enter or choose the Control Panel option from the top results. Or, you can type the same thing in the Search box on the taskbar.

- used to optimize the computer performance by
ensuring that files are retrieved efficiently from
the hard disk.

- classifies the file in the computer so that similar
files are saved as a single fragment in a single
chunk of memory space.

4. 1. Open Disk Defragmenter by clicking the
Start button. In the search box, type Disk
Defragmenter, and then, in the list of results,
click Disk Defragmenter.

2. Under Current status, select the disk you
want to defragment.

3. To determine if the disk needs to be
defragmented or not, click Analyze disk.

- it is a built in windows tool that is
specifically designed to help you move all
of your files and settings to your clean
install of windows or a new system.

7. Steps in transfering files and settings...
1.To transfer files and settings to another
computer, click Files and Settings Transfer Wizard
in the system tools folder.

2. A welcome message
will appear right after,
simply click Next to
continue.

8. 3. Depending on where you want to
transfer your files and settings, choose
among Easy Transfer Cable, Network, or
External Hard Disk or USB Flash Drive.

9. 4. At first you will have to copy files from your current
computer to a new one, so the next option to choose is This
is my Old Computer. Windows will then show a list of file
types that you can transfer. Check the boxes of the items
you want to copy to your new computer and click Next.

10. 5. Afterward, Windows will ask if you would like to protect
your file transfer with a password. If you wish to do so, type
your password on the Password Box and confirm it by typing
it again on the box below it. If you do not want to put a
password, just leave the boxes empty and click Save. Your
transfer will be saved as a single file with MIG as its
extension. Windows will show you the location of the
transferred file in the other computer. Make sure to write it
down because you will need to access it later using the other
computer.

11. 6. In the other computer, open the Windows Easy
Transfer tool the same way you did on the first
computer, but this time, choose the option This is My
New Computer. Windows will then ask if it has
already saved your files, click Yes, Open the File and
browse the computer for the location of the .MIG file.
Again, check the boxes of the files you want to
transfer.

12. 7. Click Advanced Option if you wish to Map
the User Accounts and Drives, and click Save.
