Why, When, and How Did it Become Acceptable Workshop A Service by (Ms., She, Her) Sylvia A. Barnes Owner/Independent Professional Black Owned & Independently Operated Copyright © Sylvia A. Barnes 2024 And For Profit (By Some)? The Concept Of Robbing, Stealing From “Peter” To Pay “Paul” Real Talk

All throughout history, on the news, and seen on films (based on true events) we hear stories about business’, countries, culturally, the environment, islands, places, and property that has been invaded, stripped down and burn down to ruin wasting a valuable resource (and a waste of wealth), or wasting “good fruit”- so to speak. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the “why” of it all. My question comes from a place of Karma. Being a single mother some things are second nature for me. Being a mother, and a woman in general some things are not needed, unnecessary, not welcomed, and/or tolerated. It can’t be- for the simple, basic fact- possible harm, the potential risk, and safety. Some times my reasoning may be based on, “I would not and do not want “that” on me, my karma, my children, my household. That is just not how I do things in general. Period. I get it- every person was not raised, taught the importance of earning a living and having (expecting) a healthy balance. I keep hearing the word “opportunity” used as if it is some new concept, way of living, and/or seeing people. Or places- Then there is the topic, reality some people are “givers” and some are obvious “takers.” Some follow the “bandwagon mentality” and “herd mentality” and not karmic, biblical/scriptural belief system for living. Then the “select” few with a earthly title/position, and “last name” acting as if laws of the land, karma, or basic principles do not apply to their world. We are all a mixed bunch- I would rather be seen as a “person” and not an “opportunity.” (Maybe I am simply old fashion that way- )

What is boomerang karma? “What goes around comes around in the same or some other form.” That is Karma-

Explain Being a good steward Being a good steward means you are managing resources, responsibly, and faithfully. ______________________________________________________________ Explaining being a good steward from a spiritual, biblical, or theology perspective- managing resources responsibly, and faithfully to honor God. 1Peter 4:10, Titus 1:7-8, Genesis 2:15

1Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Titus 1:7-8 Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless- not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.

Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

The (Biblical/Spiritual) Lesson Proverbs 28:6 Ephesians 4:28-29 Ephesians 4:27 Ephesians 4:25 2 Corinthians 8:21 Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Proverbs 28:6 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich. (Better is a poor man/person who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.)

Ephesians 4:28-29 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

Ephesians 4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, For we are members one of another.

2 Corinthians 8:21 For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man.

Open Discussion

Generally speaking. Life and time goes by so fast- if you take the time to sit down and remember one year ago. Five years ago. Ten years ago- Where did the time and the years go? It’s bittersweet, really. There are some family members, friends, and people we know, love, and remember- We will not see them again walking on this earth cause they have passed away. Our blessings, natural gifts, talents, and resources- Are we acting as good stewards?

Do unto others whatever you would like them to do to you. Mathew 7:12 Peace, Love, and Unity
