Anne Bradstreet
Anne Bradstreet poem The Prologue was an interesting poem. This is one of her most
intellectually poems she has written. I like this poem by Bradstreet because it shows off her
work as a writer and poet. The theme in the poem The Prologue is global and historical context
that covers feminisms, Christianity, and psychology. I like how she writes about feminisms and
her showing that even though she is a female, she can write poems like men do. Her use of meter
and rhyme is nearly perfect and it shows the simple truth she puts in her pieces. Also she showed
her true feelings and it helps readers understand what she is feeling and saying in her work. Another
poem that Bradstreet wrote that I like is Contemplations. This poem was a great use

Arrow Of God District 9 Comparison
Arrow of God written by Chinua Achebe is set in the 1920 s located in Nigeria. The book focuses
on the main character Ezeulu, the Igbo people s chief priest. Throughout the text we see Ezeulu
have conflicts with other tribes and with Christian missionaries, get sent to prison for denying a
position from the British, and Ezeulu having difficulties within his own tribe and their yam harvest
(Achebe). All the events that happened in Arrow of Godlead to a much deeper meaning. If we take a
look at a look at the very complex film District 9produced by Peter Jackson, we see a very
different but similar story. This is a mockumentary type film that explores the life of a MNU
executive, an alien and his son, the Nigerian gang, and a mercenary soldier employed by MNU
(IMDb). In both stories, Arrow of God and District 9, there are very blunt patterns of fiction,
distinct archetypes, and prominent philosophies used. The stories above are two different types of
media, with similar content. Both book and movie shows a tribe being pushed out of their home,
in almost the same way. In both stories we see patterns of fiction, which is when a reader is
introduced to a characterand some event or a challenge occurs. In Arrow of God, Ezeulu is faced
with a difficult decision towards the end of the story. We call this The Choice. Ezeulu is faced with
the decision to allow his tribe to participate in the New Yam Feast, but instead tells them not to and
famine strikes the

Summary Of Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist is the narrative of a youthful vagrant, Oliver, and his endeavors to remain great in a
general public that declines to help. Oliver is conceived in a workhouse, to a mother not known to
anybody in the town. She passes on directly in the wake of bringing forth him, and he is sent to
the parochial halfway house, where he and alternate vagrants are dealt with unpleasantly and
sustained practically nothing. When he turns nine, he is sent to the workhouse, where again he and
the others are dealt with severely and for all intents and purposes starved. Alternate young men,
unfit to stand their appetite any more, choose to attract straws to pick who should go up and
request more nourishment. Oliver loses. On the designated day, subsequent to completing his
initially serving of gruel, he goes up and requests more. Mr. Blunder, the beadle, and the board are
offended, and choose they should dispose of Oliver, apprenticing him to the parochial funeral
director, Mr. Sowerberry. It isn t extraordinary there either, and after an assault on his mom s
memory, Oliver flees.
Oliver strolls towards London. When he is close, he is so powerless he can scarcely proceed, and
he meets another kid named Jack Dawkins, or the cunning Dodger. The Dodger reveals to Oliver
he can accompany him to a place where a man of his word will give him a place to rest and
sustenance, for no lease. Oliver takes after, and the Dodger takes him to a flat in London where he
meets Fagin, the previously

Regulatory Adjudication
There are many theories abound as to why there is a necessity for regulatory oversight especially
within a democratic society the most prevalent of these is the need for this type of administrative
adjudication is the nature of people themselves, meaning people being as they are like nice things
and like a lot of negative universal aspects tend to be motivated more by simple want than need.
This is also a telling sign when those that are caught generally say that they did what they did in the
commission of their crimes because they simply wanted the American Dream and the process in
which these people arrived at committing these crimes and violations was because ends justified

Atomic Theory And The Study Of Matter
Atomic Theory and the Study of Matter Matter is anything made up of atoms and molecules and
the study of these things called atoms dates back to the time of Ancient Greece to the present. The
information about atoms known today is certainly much greater than what was known centuries
ago. First, there was only hypotheses on this idea that everything in the world is made up of tiny,
unseeable particles. As technology advanced, these hypotheses were tested, critiqued, modified, and
built upon. A mass of knowledge is known regarding atoms, thanks to the research of numerous
chemists and physicists. The atomic theory is the building block to the study of matter just as the
atomis the building block to all matter. Around 400 BCE was when the Greek philosopher
Democritus, alone with his teacher Leucippus, the idea of the atom was born (the word atom
comes from the Greek word atomos or atomon meaning that which cannot be split ). This was a
completely new concept, and Democritus s theory stated that atoms were indestructible and
homogenous, and different states of matter were made up of differently shaped atoms: solids had
sharp and pointy atoms and liquids had large round atoms. Later these ideas would be proved
inaccurate, however, this was the beginning of the discovery of the atom even though the people of
this time had no instruments capable of testing the theory. It was not until centuries later that the
atomic theory was truly looked at again. In 1803 an English

The Upper Rio Grande Essay
The Upper Rio Grande
Change is an unavoidable part of life. For some, change can bring promise and a new beginning.
For others, change disrupts what is routine and normal and makes what is new seem strange and
unfamiliar. The history of North America has been shaped by change ever since Columbus first
discovered the continent in 1492. With that discovery, the continent would never be the same again.
More specifically, the Native American tribes who first inhabited this continent would never be the
same.
Over the years the Native Americans would see new explorers and missionaries take over the land
that was once theirs and claim it for another country. The traditions, customs, and culture of these
Native Americans inevitably ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, this paper will give an overview of the native people of the Upper Rio Grande during the
19th century and their interaction with the rest of New Mexico.
From 1598 1606, Don Juan de Orate colonized the Rio Grande area. The Spanish settlers came with
more than just colonization on their minds. Orate and his men were hoping the area would prove to
be a huge resource of gold and other valuable resources. Meanwhile, Spanish missionaries brought
Christianity to the Indians (White, 6).
Orate entered the area now known as New Mexico with a group made up of 130 families, 276
single men, 83 wagons and carts, 11 Franciscan Friars (and) 7,000 cattle herded by drovers on
foot (Horgan, 161). At a celebration of the settlement, Orate asserted what he believed was a
rightful claim to the land that was already occupied by Pueblo Indians. Before kneeling at a
cross and asking God for the successful conversion of the native people, he said I take possession
. . .of the lands of the said Rio Grande, without exception whatsoever, with all its meadows and
pasture grounds and passes . . . and all its native Indians (Horgan, 165). The Spanish did not take
no for an answer.
They took supplies from the Indians; sometimes paying for them, sometimes not. They were
ruthless.
Within a year of Onate s speech, the Indians showed their disapproval of the arrangement as

Tax Evasion Paper
The Extended Arm of the United States Government in its Battle against Tax Evaders
Professor: Kenneth Lavery
Submitted By: Deanne Patterson
Week 6: July 31, 2011
Taxes are a major contributor of the American economy. The tax system in the United States
depends on voluntary compliance, which means that each citizen is responsible for filing a tax
return when required and for determining and paying the correct amount of tax . (Albrect, Albrect,
Albrect Albrect and Zimbelman). When individuals under report, exaggerate deductions, and hide
money in off shore accounts, this is clearly misrepresentation of their income to the Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) and is deemed tax evasion. The term tax evasion is defined as using illegal

The Interpretation of the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States continues
to present many arguments as to the legality of income taxes in America and Globally. This student
believes that the interpretation of the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States
continues to present many arguments concerning the legality of the American income tax system.
When the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution was ratified (February 3, 1913) giving
Congress the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes , citizens began arguing that it was not
properly ratified and income taxes are illegal. Citizens continue to raise such arguments in spite of
the fact that they have no basis in law and the courts have repeatedly rejected their arguments as
frivolous. Promoters and their followers have long employed frivolous arguments concerning the
legality of the income tax as pretexts to enrich themselves or evade their taxes. Their motivation
is usually monetary. Anti taxation groups used different arguments to gain followers, they all
share one thing in common; they received substantial sentences in a federal prison for their
activities. Their followers paid a steep price for following bad advice. Some were prosecuted, many
more were involved in years of litigation and ultimately had to pay all taxes owed along with

Definition Essay On Friendship
The word friendship is defined as having a relationship between you and a friend. The definition is
easier to interpret if you divide the word in half. A friend is someone you care about and someone
you trust with anything. The ship portion of the word refers specifically to the relationship you
have with someone. After reconstructing the word, you have friendship, which is mainly built from
trust, common interests and support.
Trust is the foundation of any friendship. Without trust, relationships shatter due to the uncertainty
of the other person s actions. For example, you can trust a true friend to be alone in your house
and expect him/her to resist the urge to steal valuables. On the other hand, if you leave a person
you assume you trust in your house with valuables, a less favorable outcome would occur. This is
the reason why trust is vital to every friendship.
Common interests are the cause of nearly all friendships. Whether it be that you both appreciate a
similar sports team or the same genre of movie, these are hobbies you both have in common.
Without common interests, the friendship will not be able to form correctly. Additionally, the
friendship will not last as long without similar interests. This is due to the lack ... Show more

A simple way to support your friend is to simply listen to their situation and picture yourself being
in that situation. After listening, you can provide ways to help by explaining routes they can take
to ensure him/herself into an improved position. If you can t imagine any solutions that can help
the person with their problem, redirect him/her to someone who can. This could be a family
member or another friend that has experience with the situation at hand. After assisting with their
problem, you should invite that person to an activity you ll both enjoy. Doing this will benefit the
friendship greatly since you re offering

Main Leadership Theories
Introduction Definition of leadership Leadership is an ability of an individual to create sound
decisions and enthuse others to present well. Real leaders are able to set and accomplish
stimulating goals, to seize quick and pivotal deed even in tough situations, to outperform their
contest, to seize computed threats and to persist in the face of failure. Strong contact skills, self
confidence, the skill to grasp others and a inclination to embrace change additionally describe
good leaders. Leadership Theory Interest in association increased across the main portion of the
twentieth century. Main leadership theories concentrated on what qualities discriminated amid
heads and followers, as consecutive theories looked at supplementary variables such as
situational factors and skill levels. As countless disparate association theories have appeared, most
can be categorized as one of five main types: 1.Trait Theories Trait theories accept that people
receive precise qualities and traits that make them larger suited to leadership. Trait theories
frequently recognize particular personality or behavioral characteristics public by leaders. If
particular traits are key features of association, next how do we clarify people who own those
qualities but are not leaders? This question is one of the difficulties in employing trait theories to
clarify leadership. 2.Situational Theories Situational theories counsel that heads select the best

A Wireless Sensor Network ( Wsn )
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network consisting of spatially distributed autonomous
sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration,
pressure, humidity, motion or pollutants and to cooperatively pass their data through the network
to a main location. The WSN is built of nodes from a few to several hundreds or even thousands,
where each node is connected to one (or sometimes several) sensors. Each such sensor network
node has typically several parts: a radio transceiver with an internal antenna or connection to an
external antenna, a microcontroller, an electronic circuit for interfacing with the sensors and an
energy source, usually a battery or an embedded form of energy harvesting [23].
Fig. 1.1 : Multi hop wireless sensor network
1.1 Event Driven Mechanism for WSN
In event driven wireless sensor network, instead of sending periodic observation when an event of
interest occurs, the sensing node also sends the messages additionally for reporting an event. In this
context, it can be explicitly specified that not all the sensing nodes need to report an event.
Theoretically, sending messages by all the nodes whenever an event occurs will result in integrity
of data, but in real time scenario, it becomes tricky as it results in redundancy and overload of
information, that in turn results in depletion of energy and thus, the lifetime of the sensor node gets
reduced. In wireless sensor

Benefit Of Space Exploration
America has reaped the benefits of space exploration for sixty years, despite the open knowledge
of its effects on those who enter radiation and low gravity environments. A low gravity
environment is a space in which gravity, an attracting force between two masses, is lowered in a
way that causes a feeling of weightlessness (Newman, Phil. What Is Gravity? ). Lowered gravity
can cause gene modification and alter behavior (Shikawa, Chihiro, et al. Effects of Gravity
Changes on Gene Expression of BDNF and Serotonin Receptors in the Mouse Brain. ). It can also
induce osteoporosis, an incurable disease increasing the susceptibility of bones to fracture (
Osteoporosis. ), causing astronauts to lose 1 2% of bone mass per month in space (Bones, Space.
Space Bones. . Radiation (from space) is a type of ionizing radiation that releases energy when it
occurs. When that energy is released, it can be absorbed by living tissue, which can cause
irreparable DNA damage (Cucinotta, Francis A. Space Radiation Risks for Astronauts on Multiple
International Space StationMissions. ).
Some believe that the benefits of space exploration are great enough to overlook the decreasing
health of astronauts who have been affected by space travel. I believe that the knowledge of space
from space exploration is not beneficial enough to cause astronauts harm and long term health
problems when the same work could be done by artificial intelligence.

Established peer network As a company that receives many of its projects through contractual
bidding, it is often possible to receive qualified candidates through established peer networks.
Contracts are undertaken with a variance in time schedules for completion and often can end for
a variety of different reasons. As a major contractor for the defense industry, Harris often has, as
do other companies, prior knowledge as to a competitor s contract not being renewed. This opens
up many opportunities for Harris to reach out to the soon to be displaced, yet highly

industry turnover to recruit some of these displaced workers before they move on to other

Reformation of the Church
In sixteenth century Europe, the revival for Roman Catholicism took place. This reformation in the
Church is significantly important as it was during these times when Europe was all but mired by
Protestant movements. This revival has often been referred to as the Catholic Counter reformation,
as a response against the Protestant Reformation. Christian humanism found expression, putting
emphasis even on the pagan culture and philosophy. Controversies with the Protestants also gave
way to the revival of scholasticism, giving way to a reformed papacy with its emphasis on
spiritual life and service for the people. Such a papacy commanded respect from the Catholics as
well as affirmed the validity of the Church s teachings.
The Catholic Reformation was a rediscovery of the living Tradition. More than a counter
reformation, it was a process of development, not so much as a defense against Protestantism. The
mission of such movement was not directed towards an enemy, but undertaken due to an
unwavering loyalty to God (Daniel Rops, 1964) At the height of the Protestant Reformation,
religious dissatisfaction had culminated, prompting attacks against the Church. However, after less
than half a century, the fervor that came with the Reformation had subsided. The masses were
especially feeling, in a way, excluded, seeing the whole movement as esoteric (Simon, 1974).
During this time, reforming orders found their most characteristic expression, assuming

Blacks and the Media Essay example
Racism and discrimination continue to be a prevalent problem in American society. Although
minorities have made significant strides toward autonomy and equality, the images in media,
specifically television, continue to misrepresent and manipulate the public opinion of blacks. It is
no longer a blatant practice upheld by the law and celebrated with hangings and beatings, but
instead it is a subtle practice that is perceived in the entertainment and media industries. Whether it
s appearing in disparaging roles or being negatively portrayed in newscasts, blacks continue to be
the victims of an industry that relies on old ideas to appeal to the majority. The viscous cycle that is

In the television show The First 48, which is promoted as being an authentic form of reality
television, the depiction of blacks as criminals is evident. In most cases, it is a black person who
is suspected, accused and arrested for a crime; although, one might argue the show does its job
to follow along with the calls received and crimes reported, the overrepresentation of blacks
relative to the population numbers is evident. Ardis C. Martin, in an Academic Psychiatry
Journal, writes, People develop conceptions about the world as a result of repeated exposure to
consistent and repetitive images in the media. In watching The First 48, it is no surprise why a
white consumer would come to the realization that all blacks are deviant criminals, while a black
consumer would be susceptible to being a criminal because of a media that has already defined
him or her by the color of his or her skin. Black Entertainment Television, which was created to
empower black people in a predominantly white media, has strayed away from its roots and
marketed its programming to mimic and compete with other stations for ratings. As a television
station that once had a variety of journalism programs and shows dedicated to a diversity of music
genres within the black culture, it has now centered its model on reality television and limited
selection of rap music videos. The Encyclopedia of African American History states the ascendancy

The Debate of Human Cloning Essay
Missing Appendix
The Debate of Human Cloning
Human cloning has become a hot topic for debate. As we progressed one step closer to successfully
cloning and developing a human being, legislators and the general public have become more
concerned about the ethical and moral implications of this procedure. The federal government has
been unsuccessful in reaching an agreement as to what policy to pass and enact. Thus, any current
legislation on human cloning has been developed and enforced by individual states. The state of
California is one of the few states in the United States that has a policy on human cloning. Human
cloning is banned in the state of California.

A clone is genetically identical to the person or animal who provided the somatic cell that
provided the DNA. Much of the new laws being drafted to prevent human cloning have yet to be
enacted or reviewed by Congress. There has been much debate between the Democrats and
Republicans on this issue.
Problems with ethical concerns over human cloning play a very large role in hindering the
adoption of various legislation. Anti abortion organizations have entered the debate by voicing
their opinions about human cloning and research. They claim that by allowing research to take
place on human embryos, Congress would be giving approval for the destruction of life(Appendix
A.4). Would we, in fact, be devaluing life by creating, experimenting and killing human embryos
for the purpose of research?(Appendix A.5) There has also been concern over the rights of a
human clone. Issues have been raised about the individuality, autonomy, objectification, and
kinship of the resulting children (Appendix A.6). Because the clone would be identical genetically
and phenotypically to a person who currently exists or did exist in the past, he or she may be
expected to follow in the footsteps of the DNA donor.
This would take away any individuality and autonomy that would normally be experienced by an
individual conceived sexually. Objectification becomes

Analysis of Out, Out by Robert Frost Essay
Analysis of Out, Out by Robert Frost
Robert Frost tells a disturbing story in Out, Out, , in which a little boy loses his life. The title of
the poem leaves the reader to substitute the last word of the title, which some would assume would
be out because of the repetition. The title is referring to the boy exiting the living world. Frost
drags the reader s mind into the poem with the imagistic description of the tools and atmosphere the
little boy is surrounded by.
Frost describes the little boy s work in the first two lines by saying the stove length sticks of wood,
inferring the practical nature of his work. The mountains described in the next lines further add to
the captive nature of the poem. Vermont provides a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sister prepares the evening meal, making her contribution to the family; and calls on the boy to

from his work, and that split second of carelessness cost him an extremity. His instincts raised his
arm upward to keep all the blood from spilling out immediately. When he realized what was
happening, the boy finally realized he was to young to be doing a man?s work. The boy ?saw all
spoiled,? and now knew his whole childhood had vanished and it was impossible to get it back.
The boy frantically called out to his sister to make the doctor keep his hand on. The boy?s body
must have instantly gone into shock and not felt the absence of the hand. When the doctor
arrived he gave him some ether to make him go to sleep. The little boy began to lose his pulse
and soon he was a stranger to the world. The people surrounding the boy never expected the loss
of his hand to tragically end the little boy?s life. Frost?s almost appalling casual description of
death shocks the reader enough to make them think. ?Since they were not the one dead, turned to
their affairs,? describes the environment of the survivors. They are forced to move on with their life
and keep working because they cannot afford to stop and mourn.
The poem ?Out, Out, ? can only be described as an ironic misfortune that could be experienced by
anyone. The realistic subject

What Is Lombroso Legacy
Since offenders were more primitive, Lombroso said, they could be recognized by certain physical
qualities, e.g. low, inclining temples; vast jaws; long arms; meaty lips; sneaky eyes. Lombroso s
suspicion that specific individuals were more best in class developmentally than others tied in with
his bigot conviction that specific gatherings of individuals specifically, those of European lineage
were more best in class developmentally than different gatherings, for example, those from Africa.
The thought that a few individuals are conceived culprits had self evident and disagreeable strategy
suggestions. First off, it suggested that restoration was impossible. Somebody hereditarily bound to

Does Karl Popper Use Inductive Claims To Make A Universal...
In this piece, Karl Popper articulates a common fallacy that occurs when people begin to discuss
the use of inductive logic to reach an end. Popper defines the problem of induction as that which
we can question whether inductive inferences are acceptable as a means to an end. In other
words, it questions the ability to use inductive claims to make a universal statement. Inductive
claims are those that Popper describes as those that are based off of experiences. Popper deduces
that in order for us to make a universal claim from experiences, he must first establish a principle
of induction. This principal of induction as Popper defines would allow us to justify using inductive
statements in a logically valid and precise form. Popper notes that

Essay On What Did Jackson Do For The Common Man
Presidents like Jackson represent a long line of politicians asserting their policies benefit the
average american. Were the interests of the common man truly represented under Jackson? Why
or why not? Include examples. What did Jackson do for the common man? Jackson s journey
prior to becoming president, and during the time served by President Adams, included him
becoming favorable to the new members elected to congress in 1826, as well as the Vice
President Calhoun and as well as the Albany Regency in New York and two editors who worked in
the west to mobilize the opposition of Henry Clay and his American System which included and
advocated government encouragement of protective tariffs and federally funded improvements.
Jackson focused on tariffs as the topic was the main concern of the Northerners with the exception
of the southerners. Jackson focused on obtaining votes from the southerners who did not have any
experience with tariffs. Although he was for higher tariffs he explained to them that he did not

Essay on The Million Man March by Maya Angelou
Almost a million people who were deprived of any sort of human rights had stood up against the
government to make a change. The voices of the people come from the poem A Million Man
March by Maya Angelou which proves that together people can make a big difference even when
they go against the government. Before this big change had happened though the dark skinned
part of the nation were treated horribly and were pushed over the edge, this was explained using
imagery. Also a stanza was repeated very often to remind people of the horrors they had to go
through and that is s time for change using the power of metaphors. Finally during the march there

For a long time the participants had suffered from being treated almost inhuman like but there was a
moment when the blacks where ready to stand up and fight for their rights. Maya Angelou used lots
of metaphors to describe the people s feelings and make the reader fell them too: I say the night
has been long (The Million Man March, line 1 but repeated through out the poem). The nigh has
been long is used metaphorically to say that enough suffering has been endured. This quote is
related to suffering because when darkness is present monsters and such lurk about (scared). I
say is metaphorically used to show strength and leadership. So I say the night has been long
stands for stop being cowardly, you don t need to suffer just come together with all your strength.
Although Maya Angelou is showing that the participants have strength she also shows where it s
coming from: The wound has been deep, the pit has been dark and the walls have been steep (The
Million Man March, lines 2 4 but repeated through out the poem). These phrases remind the people
of what they had to endure in life and they get strength from this to go against the government and
make a change. The wound has been deep represents the pain the dark skinned people had to
endure in their lives which they know their children might have to too. The pit has been dark and the

Betrayal In Macbeth Essay
Regarded as the darkest and most powerful work of Shakespeare, The Tragedy of Macbeth (1606),
follows the corruption of high nobility and the potent consequences that come with choosing evil
over good. Shakespeare tells the story of a courageous Scottish gentleman named Macbeth, the
Thane of Glamis, who receives a prophecy from three witches that he will become the Thane of
Cawdor and King of Scotland. Consumed by this insight and overwhelming ambition, Macbeths
actions snowball into a plot of blood, madness, betrayal and the supernatural. Shakespeare used
characterisation, symbolism and setting to successfully explore the consequences of betrayal.

Maggie A Girl Of The Streets Chapter Summary

story showed a lot of reality of everyday life of people living in poverty. It shows a great example
of people s decisions affecting their life s. As seen in the story Maggie the main character her
decisions impacted her life. I believe that if things would have different Maggie could have had a
fair shot in life. Since the beginning of the book it starts off with her brother fighting in the streets,
her father drunk wondering through the streets as well as she was in the street with her brother.
When Maggie sees her brother, all beat up she tries to talk to him but makes him upset. Jimmie

For the most part, tropical gardens rely on foliage rather than flowers to create interest year round.

Mrs. Gertz talk about her trip to the Great Blasket Islands. I have her for English and she got me
hooked the first time she mentioned she would be doing her chat over her trip. The first chat I
went to was over Greek life and the whole era in general. The most interesting story that the
professor told was about Oedipus. Laius and Jocasta are the king and queen on Thebes. The
king goes to a fortune teller because they are having trouble conceiving a child. He is told, they
will have a child, but his son will kill him and marry and have children with the queen. They
send the child to someone far away, so the prophesy cannot be filled. The young boy ends up
becoming a king somewhere else then goes out and meets his father and they fight and he kills
his father. He had no idea who the man was. He ventures out and kills a sphynx and then becomes
king because of that. He never thought the place he now ended up at was supposed to be his true
home. He marries the current queen and the prophesy is filled. The story shows there are some

Logrono is referred to as the Wine Capital of the world. People travel here to enjoy the wine

Logrono has a population of about 152107 people. This was last recorded in 2015. This is a
reasonably small number of people compared to the rest of Spain. With this amount of people
living here, it would leave more room for the tourism industry.
As Logrono is extremely popular for its production of wine it increases the visitors who come to

Nt1310 Unit 5 Final Paper
It can be seen that dhrystone scores and MIPS scores of the both Emulators are surpassing the
values provided for Motorola 68040 at 25 MHz by promotional literature of Motorola.
Interestingly, these emulations were conducted on ARM Cortex A7, which is a low end
processor. Low end here specifically means that ARM Cortex A7 has lower performance in
terms of DMIPS/MHz compared to performance of Freescale MPC8270 used in processor
module of ABB AC 800M. This instinctively implies that these emulations can be potentially
considered for integrating legacy applications built for ABB AC 450 using Motorola 68040 into
modern ABB AC 800M based on a high end processor MPC8270. These results are also significant
because emulators were open source under GPL licenses; this means that there was no extra cost
involved for commercial licenses. Therefore, these emulators suffice the need of legacy integration

Dhrystone is especially designed to estimate integer performance of a processor based systems. A
particular dhrystone score mentions number of times a fundamental function of a dhrystone
source code is executed per second. Better this score is, the better is the performance of a
processor. To calculate time taken by a dhrystone fundamental function, dhrystone uses standard
times(2) function by default. However, times(2) provides time values in terms of processor
clocks consumed. To have this value in seconds dhrystone also requires specification of clock rate
used by a processor. Therefore, it is a convention to provide dhrystone score with a clock rate.
However, there is no need of specifying clock rate, if the time calculations are performed using
standard time(NULL) function. For emulators, time calculations are done using standard
time(NULL) function. Hence, in this report no clock rates are specified with dhrystone scores

Rene Descartes God Analysis
In Descartes Discourse on Method and Meditations on First Philosophy, he explains the various
steps that should be taken in achieving genuine knowledge. Descartes rejects all beliefs in things
that are doubtable, and he then tries to unbiasedly reestablish what can be known for sure. One of
his most interesting argument is proving the existenceof God. He hoped to provide a way for
atheists, who demand a logical explanation in God s existence, to believe in God. His rules of
thought meant to ensure that our knowledge rests upon a firm foundation. Descartes believed in
God and also offered arguments for his existence. He claims that there are two types of ideas;
innate and fictitious (Descartes, 45), and the idea that God is invented is false. In defending his
stand, he starts off by stating that something cannot come from nothing. He explains that the idea
of God in him has an infinitive objective reality. However, the cause of an idea should have at
least as much formal reality as it has an objective reality. Therefore, God being an infinitive... Show

He explains that mathematical ideas such as triangles are certain and independent of his mind.
He realizes that he is just as certain about God as he is about the mathematical ideas. He asserts
that this is natural as the ideas of God are the only ideas that imply God s existence. God is
defined as an infinitely perfect being and since perfection includes existence, God exists. Descartes
presents a very convincing argument for the existence of God. I consider his work is remarkable in
the sense that he tries to provide a logical explanation for the existence of God, something that
even religious scholars don t attempt. I believe God exists and I support Descartes arguments.
Although, it is difficult to tell if Descartes was unbiased in his argument. I wonder if he would
have reached the same conclusion if he did not believe in God

Samuel Colton Invented The First Rotating Barrel Revolver
Samuel Colton invented the first rotating barrel revolver, later called Peacemaker, in 1835. He
then started mass producing it and supplying it to the armed forces as well as the common people,
who benefited greatly from its reliability, portability and quick firing rate. This gun was the one

history not only by giving the U.S. armed forces and the Union army the upper hand and the power
to subdue their enemies in monumental battles, but also by instilling in the people a strong sense of
individualism and the mentality of the manifest destiny. To begin with, before the 1830s, the only
guns that were available to the public and the militarywere the muskets and rifles, and primitive
pistols. The muskets and rifles were very large in size, took a long amount of time to reload and
were difficult to aim. Even though they might have been effective when used in large numbers at
the frontline of the battlefields due to the heavy concentration of bullets they produced and since
great accuracy was not required, they were not as practical or useful to the general public as their

How The Skin Is Made Up Of Two Layers
The skin is made up of two layers: the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis consists of
keratinocytes, melanocytes, dendritic cells, and tactile cells (Marieb Hoehn 153). The epidermis
consists of four to five layers, including stratum basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum,
stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum. The deepest layer, stratum basale lies on top of the dermis
and contains mitotic cells that help repair the skin when it is damaged (Marieb Koehn 153).
Stratum spinosum is the house for Langerhan s cells, and can be characterized as the prickly layer
on top of the stratum basale (Poonawalla Diven). Stratum granulosum is where keratinization
begins, and the cells will flatten and the organelles will die (Marieb Koehn 153). The next layer is
the stratum lucidum, which is only in thick skin. The most superficial layer of the epidermisis the
stratum corneum, and it is made up 20 30 dead cell layers that help give the skin its protective
function (Marieb Koehn 154). The epidermis is avascular, meaning this layer contains no blood
vessels. Each epidermal layer has its function and they work together when repair is needed and
they protects the underlying dermis structures.
The dermis layer sits on top of the hypodermis and under the epidermis. The dermis consists of the
papillary layer and the reticular layer. The papillary layer is made up of loose connective tissue

Cash Budgeting
Robert Buckman
7/28/10
Using a Cash Budget for Planning Purposes
Introduction
Let me begin by explaining what a cash budget is. A cash budget is a tool that helps individuals
and companies forecast a short term financing needs. Investopedia defines a cash budget as, an
estimation of the cash inflows and outflows for a business or individual for a specific period of
time. (Cash Budget) A cash budget is used to determine the borrower s ability to generate cash and
repay debt. A cash budget also provides an estimate of a company s or an individual s short term
cash position.
In this paper I will reveal the primary uses of cash budgets, as well as lay out a format for a cash
budget, explain which borrowers should prepare a cash budget ... Show more content on

Banks use cash budgets to determine when customizers are likely to need to borrow and to assure
themselves that borrowers will be able to repay the loans. On occasion the bank may want to
rework the cash budget and distinguish how unexpected changes in cash flow assumptions change
it. So if sales were lower than expected how would the company be doing and are they going to be
able to make good on their commitment to the bank. This could enable the bank to uncover
financing needs for foreseen by the company. For example when the cash flow shows the company
produces less than its minimum cash requirement, the company will need to borrow money. If its
cash flow is monitored monthly rather than quarterly or semiannually, a company can react to
problems more quickly. If it appears that budgeted amounts could be significantly different from the
past statements, then further attention should be given to the budget. Some factors affecting the
budget may have been overlooked or past statement relationships may no longer be applicable, due
to unnoticed changes. (White, 1997)
However it is not only companies who benefit from constructing a cash budget. For individuals, a
cash budget is a good method of determining where your cash is regularly being spent. This is

Character Analysis Of The Snow In Trapped, By Michael...
It was one of those bull s eyes in history, one of those points where everything comes together,
where, if you were at that place at that time, you were part of something big. It meant that we
weren t going to get picked up, not on that day and maybe not ever (Northrop 1). The mood created
by Northrop in Trapped is displayed to the readers as negative vibe. Being trapped at a school in a
blizzardis obviously not a good thing. So, as a visual representation to the teenagers situation, the
snowis described negatively too. In the book Trapped, Michael Northrop uses the snow to
symbolize dreadful times and loneliness. Throughout the text, Michael mentions the snow.
Considering the book s about a blizzard, that d be normal, right? However, in my view, the snow
symbolizes something, like dreadful times. Scattered around, the context surrounding the snow
can be interpreted as how you feel during those times. For example, later in the book, when the
students realize just how bad it is, they explain it as, There was no higher ground, no place left
for us to go (Northrop 158). Here, a relation to people feeling as if there s nowhere else to go, so
they re trapped in the horrible event occurring can be made. Results tend to be mourning over
those poor times in people s lives. Similarly, Michael connects that to how we view bad
situations. Early on in the book, description of the snow is showed as it being small flakes , like
grains of sugar... the flakes had fattened up and

Detecting, Classifying And Tracing Non-Functional Software...
Summary of Detecting, Classifying, and tracing non functional software requirements The article
was written by Anas Mahmoud. The article speaks about the well organized method for detecting,
classifying and tracing non functional software requirements these are known as (NFRs). The
exploration of this article is centred on the main expectations that NFRs tend to be indirectly
enforced by the software systems functional requirements. Knowledge like this can be used to
capture, model and therefore be used to find the exact NFRs in the actual system. Specifically, a far
reaching orderly investigation of a progression of word semantic similitude strategies and bunching
calculations was led to distinguish the bunching setups that create the... Show more content on

Summary of Functional and non functional requirements prioritization: empirical evaluation of
IPA, AHP based, and HAM based approaches This article was written by Mohammad Dabbagh. The
article is mainly about methodologies and application. All the way through the fundamentals
building stage the way towards offering the priority to one necessity above others is very helpful to
achieve and on a predefined plan. This procedure is alluded to as fundamentals prioritization. Even
though a lot of research has been committed to proposing different ways to deal with and play out
the fundamentals prioritization, just few prioritization approaches have been as of late announced
with the point of considering both practical and non utilitarian requirements amongst prioritization
organise. From the article it tells us that the writers and authors have performed two progressive
controlled investigations with the point of assessing the present fundamentals prioritization
approaches. In the primary investigation they looked at the incorporated prioritization approach
(IPA) with the other approach called AHP based approach and within the second investigation IPA
was contrasted and the other cutting edge elective named HAM based approach. In the tests, the

The And Its Effects On The Environment
Their location impacts many things about their culture as they are surviving based on their
environment. For food, this tribe relies heavily on hunting and edible plants that grow naturally in
the Amazon Rainforest in addition to their personal garden. Due to Chagnon reporting that the
Yanamomi are incredibly violent many believed that they were savage hunters. However, only
about 15 20% of their food is meat, the rest comes from their personal gardens which are mainly
cared for by the women in the tribe. As hunting is mostly done by the men and is not as stable of a
food source as agriculture, the Yanomamo are almost entirely egalitarian. While that might not
seem intuitive in many indigenous tribes, the groups responsible for keeping... Show more content

The ability to fight other tribes and endure pain is critical to ensuring they are not raided and
wiped out but other tribes. For this reason, club fighting takes up a very large portion of their
leisure time. Children engage in horseplay that can get fairly violent and can cause injuries. This
will prepare those children, both male, and female, for a life where they will endure painful
insect bites, possible food shortages, and intense fighting. Therefore, the play they engage in,
from childhood to adulthood will be centered around ensuring their ability to handle the physical
duress they will be placed under. This is critical to the survival of the tribe as a whole because if
the adults in the tribe could not handle physical duress, it is likely that they would be ill prepared
for the lifestyle of the Yanomami.
Play can be used as a training tool for the future as seen by the horseplay, or it can simply be used
as a method to unwind. The most common way for the Yanomami to unwind is through the use of
hallucinogenic drugs. This drug is called ebene and it is extracted from plants in the forest, ground
into powder and then mixed with saliva. The drugs are snorted in a ritualistic manner. The men
body paint themselves with red pigment and adorn themselves with feathers before gathering in
front of a host s house. The men then take turns blowing the ebene into the nostrils of the

Comparing Fences And A Face In The Crowd
August Wilson s Fences and A Face in the Crowd two significantly underrated masterpieces. The
stories are completely different but the main protagonists are very alike. When Lonesome was
at the top of the world he felt as if he was indestructible. Before everyone found out who he really
was he said I m not just an entertainer I m an influence, a wielder of opinion, a force... a force!
(A Face in the Crowd). Troy Wilson was the same, he said Death is nothing but a fastball on the
outside corner (Fences). He talks down on death and feels indestructible portraying a fastball as
an easy pitch. Making him feel immortal or invincible. Where these characters differ is in their
younger lives and somewhat in personality. Lonesome seems to have always been an alcoholic and
doesn t have a fulfilling past. We know this because Marcia asked him if he always drank so
harshly, which he replied saying Not always. Back in Riddle they was pretty strict. Didn t allow us
to touch hard liquor till we was 10 or 11 ( A Face in the Crowd).... Show more content on
