I ntroduction A sports complex is an enclosed area, designed to showcase and practice of various sports. Provision for practicing various sports Provision for parking at the drop off zones and should be directly connected to various stadiums. Proper signages should be provided. The orientation of the stadiums should be NE-SW

Indoor badminton All measurements for court markings are to the outside of lines except for those involving the center service line which is equally divided between right and left service courts. All court markings to be l'/2" wide and preferably white or in color. Minimum distance between sides of parallel courts to be 5'-0“. side to side distance b/w courts: >=0.3m End to end distance b/w courts: >=1.3m b/w courts and walls: >=1.5m Spectators are accomodated behind the safety strip. For International norms, min. ht. of hall is 8m, with atleast 6m over back line of court Floor should be lightly sprung Hall should have no windows, should be lit by roof lights Plan of a badminton court

Indoor baskketball court Orientation: Optimum orientation is to locate home plate so that the pitcher is throwing across the sun and the batter is not facing it . The line from home plate through the pitcher's mound and second base should run east-northeast . Surface and Drainage: Surface is to be turf .Infield may be skinned, and shall be graded so that the baselines and home plate are level. Special Considerations: Backstop is to be provided at a minimum distance of 40 ft or preferably 60 ft behind home plate.

To improve the view for spectators, it is advantageous to use transparent materials for the back wall. The dimensions of court are: area: 9.75x6.40m and height: 6.00m The floor needs to be slightly springy and have good surface grip. It is made of light coloured wood(maple or beech), boards running parallel to the side walls.

Table tennis hall The table is matt green green with white border lines and has the following dimensions: Area: 1525x2740 mm, height: 760mm, thickness of the table top >= 25mm The palying area is cordoned off with 600-650mm high canvas screens The spectators are seated beyond the screen

billiards Billiard halls are usually on upper floors or in a bright basememnt , rarely on the gound floor. Distance b/w two tables should be at least 1.70m A clear wall space is needed for cue holders(1.50xo.75m for 12 cues), score boards and rule sheets. Smallest possible light fitting should be used, min ht.; 800mm. Total playing area 3.50x1.75 according to the standadrs

It has wooden flooring in match courts and show courts. The basement has a car parking facilities for 504 cars . Aisles were 600mm wide. Lower rows were retractable. If more space is required then they can be retracted. Special aisles for physically challenged.
