Youtube license overview and Creative Common Options

Two slides briefly describing the Standard Youtube License and the Creative Commons Attribution License option offered to Youtube users.

1. Whenever you load a video to Youtube your video is marked as having a Standard Youtube License.   This license allows others to share your video in social media, but if someone wants to use a part of your video to produce a video of their own, they must get your permission to do so.

2. Youtube members in good standing, are given, as an alternative, the possibility of marking their videos with a Creative Commons License.   The Creative Commons license that youtube allows is the CC BY license, which enables anyone to use any part of your video for any purpose, including commercial purposes. The only restriction is that you must be given credit as creator or author of the video.
