ADVOCATES women in leadership roles in IEEE governance and career advancement for women in the profession.  PROVIDES assistance with the formation of new WIE Affinity Groups and supports ongoing activities. Starting an Affinity Group STEP 1: As a student Identify and recruit 5 more WiE Members STEP 2: Faculty Advisor Identify a PROFESSIONAL WIE member STEP 3: Plan Select amongst yourselves a WiE Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and a treasurer. Make a detailed business plan for sustaining the group activities for 3 years. Step 4: As a WiE Chair go to petition.ieee.org File your petition
