GUIDANCE DEFINITION “Guidance is a process of enabling each individual to understand his abilities and interest to develop them as well as possible and to relate them to life goals and finally to reach a state of complete and matured self guidance as a desirable human element of the social order.” - TRAXLER

GUIDANCE Guidance as “the help given by one person to another in making choices and adjustments and in solving problems. He has further defined it by saying that it aims at adding the recipient to grow in his independence and ability to be responsible for himself.” - JONES

MEANING OF GUIDANCE Guidance means to guide, which means to direct or to lead is concerned with the best development of the student. It is both a concept and a process. Concept-it is concerned with the optimal development of student. Process-it includes the gathering of substantive knowledge of the development characteristics of an individual.
