4. INPUT – refers to the parts through which the information is received by the computer, it is encoded into something that a computer can understand.

5. Parts of the Computer Used to Input Data Keyboard – is used to encode information that the computer can understand

6. b. Mouse – a tool we use to click, select and move items on the screen.

7. c. Drives – are found in the Central Processing Unit (CPU) used to insert a CD ROM or a floppy disk

8. PROCESSOR - the brain of the computer. It computes and organizes data.

9. PROCESSOR PARTS: a. CPU (Central Processing Unit) – is where the processing and storage happens. It is the part of where the processor, hard disk and modem are located.

10. b. Processor – the brain or intelligence of the computer. It performs programmed commands on data or information.

11. c. Hard Disk – storage device for data found inside the CPU. It contain enough space or memory to accommodate a very big amount of data.

12. d. Modem – a device inside the CPU that allows the computer to network or surf the internet.

13. Output – part where the processed information is given back by a computer to its user.

14. OUTPUT PARTS: a. Computer Monitor/Screen- this is where a temporary or soft copy of the data is shown to the computer user.

16. Printer- a device used to make hard copies or printouts.
