2. 2-D art has only two dimensions: length and width. Examples of 2-D art are drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography. In drawing, one directly uses the following media: pencil, ball pen, crayons, oil pastel, or chalk on materials like paper, illustration board, felt paper, canvas, cloth, and wood.

3. In painting, pigment may be applied by brush or the palette kn or may be sprayed or printed; or pasted or glued piece by piece on material. Media include oil paint for use on canvas, wood, metal, plast watercolor or acrylic paint mixed with water
