5. Copyright Board What is Copyright Board? Copyright Board is a quasi-Judicial body which, take cognizance of any claim or offence or applications, disputes, appeals etc under Copyright Act 2000. Structure of Copyright Board Copyright Board consist one chairman two or more but not exceeding six members . And Secretary of Copyright Board would register of copyright.

6. Copyright right Board Qualification of chairman and other. Chairman would present or former district judge or Additional secretary of civil servant or lawyer having qualification of becoming justice of High Court Division. Secretary would be register of Copyright Person including chairman, secretary and member will appoint by the government.

Power of Copyright Board. hear appeals against the orders of the register of copyright. hear application for rectification of entries in the register of copyright adjudicate upon disputes on assignment of copyright. great compulsory license to produce and publish a translation of a literally or dramatic work in any language after a period of one, five or seven years. grant compulsory license to publish or republish work. hear and decide deputes as to weather a work has been publish. fix of royalties in respect of sound recording. fix the resale share in original copy's of painting a sculpture or a drawing and of original manuscripts of literally on dramatic or musical work.

8. Procedure to obtain copyright. In order to secure copyright protection what is required is that other must have become upon the work sufficent judgment skill and or capital. It is immaterial whether the work is wise or foolish account or inaccurate or where it has or has not any literary merit. In order to qualify for copyrights the work apart from being original should satisfy the following conditions. The work is bring publish in Bangladesh. Where the work is bring published out side Bangladesh the author at the date of pollutions must be a citizen of Bangladesh. It the publication was made after the death the author must have been at the time of his death a citizen of Bangladesh. In case of un-publish work the author is at the of making work a citizen of Bangladesh. Or domicile in Bangladesh. In case of architectural work of art the work is located in Bangladesh. However to accord copyright following factors are also be taken into consideration. The work must be copied from another work about must originate from the author.

9. Procedure to obtain copyright. Two authors independently producing an identical work will be entitled for copyright in their respective works. The emphasis is more on the labour skill judgment and capital expended in producing the work.

10. Scope of copyright protection. Section 14 and 15 of the copyright Act 2000 laid down the brood scope of copyright protection. A Copyright more or less gives the right to do and authorize the doing of any of the following acts namely. to reproduce the work in any material from. to publish the work. to perform the work in public. to produce perform or publish any translation of any work. to make any cinematographic him or a record in respective work. to communicative the work by broadcast or to communicate to the public work by loud speaker or any other similar instrument the broadcast of the work. to make any adaption of any work etc.
