HOTEL An establishment that provides lodging and usually meals and other services for travelers and other paying guests & accommodates visitors for a short stay at a stated fee

HISTORY The classification of hotel in stars was started in 1958. They get one to five star on the basis of facility they provide to the customer . Now some hotel provide some more facility than 5* and they called 7*

CLASSIFICATION OF HOTELS Types OF HOTEL based on star

DEFINATION A three star hotel has more spacious rooms and adds high class decorations and furnishing and colors TV. It also offers one or more lounges

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT FOR

RECEPTION AREA 1. Well appointed & well decorated Spacious lobby/ lounge commensurate to the size of hotel with sitting facilities.     2. Suitable main entrance with special provisions for the disabled.  

FRONT DESK SERVICES Luggage service available ; Messages delivered to hotel guests;   Encourage Transportation arrangements – Shuttle

BEDROOM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM SIZE OF BEDROOMS Single Double 10 sq m 12 sq m 2.5M 2.5M

Curtains; Writing table; one arm chair per room;   Cupboard/   wardrobe   with hangers   and shelves BEDROOM FURNITURE AND FITTINGS

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT 1Electric socket with indication of voltage in each room. 2. Independent light for ceiling & bedsid. e reading light for each guest   3. Reading lamp beside one armchair and beside table.

SANITERY INSTALATION 1. All rooms with complete Private bathrooms (washbasin, shower and bath and toilet);  

DINNING ROOM Clean, well equipped and well maintained dining Room, size in proportion to hotel capacity serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

CONFERENCE HALL Meeting rooms facility available for at least 20 people.

RELEXATION AREA At least a well appointed relaxation area for hotel guests

THERMAL CONDITION FOR COMMON AREA 1.Air condition guaranteeing thermal comfort in public rooms depending on location and situation.

DRINKING WATER Drinking water and glasses provided in each bedroom. Kiblat Sign to be displayed clearly on the ceiling of every room

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE Breakfast In room is to be provided;   2. Local Brand Food & Beverages service is provided;  

SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX 1.Provided at reception   2. Guests have private access to boxes, like in a bank.

SERVICES Information service concerning transport, hotel, excursions & entertainment available.

EMERGENCY POWER SUPPLY Standby generator available to provide basic light and power in emergency cases.
