If you are starting up the filter for the first time or quick action cylinders have been lacking of oil , down position is easier for moving to next phase under control . Check that the hydraulic pump pressure setpoint is over the regulated value of the PR valves (PR1 100 bar ). Ask your assistant to climb on the top of the upper frame and turning the pressure reducing valves according your instructions . PR 51 Drive the plate pack upwards with hand held unit in HC5&BAL position. Observe the pressure from the hydraulic unit pressure gauge or from the OIU and ask the assistant to turn the adjustment screw of the valve until the setpoint 100 bar is reached and tighten lightly the locking nut . PR 52 Drive the plate pack downwards with hand held unit in HC5&BAL position. Observe the pressure from the hydraulic unit pressure gauge or from the OIU and ask the assistant to turn the adjustment screw of the valve until the setpoint is 55-60 bar and tighten lightly the locking nut . The pressure loss in counter balance valve CB51 located in return line is 5 % and this has been taken in to account in the setpoint value .

PR8 PF60 hydraulic circuits 7/11/2023 PF Customer Training 42 Adjustment of valves in DV block Adjustment of HV directional valves To avoid pressure hits in hydraulic lines the function speed of the valves can be altered by the control screw located under and backside of the control valve. Therefore control screws are not seen in the photo . Adjustment of sealing cylinder pressure reducing valve PR7 If the sealing pressure setpoint in the programme (70-80 bar ) is not reached , check the function of the pressure reducing valve. During the adjustment the setpoint in the programme must be higher (100 bar ) than the regulated setpoint of the pressure reducing valve . Close and lock the plate pack . Drive the sealing cylinders upwards ( sealing ) by the hand held unit position HC7 and observe the pressure gauge PG1 from the hydraulic unit . Tighten or loosen the control screw until the desired pressure setpoint is reached . HV8 HV5 HV7 PR7 HV9
PF60 hydraulic circuits 7/11/2023 PF Customer Training 45 Cloth driving motors Cloth driving motors are equipped with pressure release valve between A and B lines . The valve opens if adjusted max pressure ( moment ) is exceeded . This can happen when heavy cakes are tried to discharge and cloth is elonging . Cloth pulling force can be increased by tightening the valve, but the valve must be disconnected for adjustment . Maximum pressure 190 bar must not be exceeded in the motors . The hydraulic system maximum pressure is 280 bar but the pressure difference between hydraulic lines A and B is 140 bar in series connected motors . The pressure can be checked from the gauge located in the hydraulic line before the motor . Cloth tensioning roller speed The speed of the tensioning roller can be adjusted for both directions by the restrictor valve FC8 located in the same DV block (the other adjusting knob is behind and not seen in the picture ) . The tensioning roller can be locked on the specific height with manual restrictor valve but can be still moved freely upwards . NOTE! REMEMBER TO OPEN THE RESTRICTOR VALVE BEFORE DRIVING THE CLOTH. Attach the pressure gauge to the measuring connector . Ask your assistant to drive the cloth tracking cylinder against its back end by hand held unit position HC4 (the cloth to left ). Check the pressure measurement and tighten or loosen the regulator screw of the PR4 until the setpoint 65 bar is reached . After that ask the assistant to drive the complete strike lenght of the cylinder back and forth once and measure the elapsed time .
